The Start of Something New (August 2012)

Aunt May made a pork loin with a hoisin, teriyaki glaze with green beans and roasted potatoes. The wine went great with the meal and Aunt May talked about Peter’s younger days in great detail, to the chagrin and embarrassment of Peter. She had so many stories to tell and noticed that he had a keen mind when he was only 7 years old. He had taken apart a grandfather clock that no longer worked and put it back together after which it worked again.

“Ben bought me that clock as a wedding gift,” she said as she gestured to it. After dinner there was apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Everyone helped clean up after and then she left the younger folk alone and retired early. Peter showed Serena his room. It was fairly large with 2 desks that held drawings, sketches and small pieces of tech that he obviously was working on for his suit. His bed was a queen sized bed with a thick, green quilt and matching sheets and pillow cases. He had movie posters on the walls, Star Wars, A Knight’s Tale, V For Vendetta and Dune.

Serena had met Aunt May before, but this was her first time being in their house. She found it to be warm and cozy and very homey. The dinner was incredible and the stories May told about Peter were hilarious. She laughed so hard that her eyes watered and she lost her breath. Peter’s embarrassment only made it funnier.

After dinner and dessert, Serena helped clean up and then she and Peter went back to his room. Serena grinned as she looked around the room. She walked over to look more closely at the drawings.

“These are really good.”

Peter moved to sit and lay back on his bed while Serena looked around his room. He had several sketches, he was actually a very good drawer though that skill had been one of his old self, tempered by time. As Serena looked through the sketches she would find several of a boy and a girl that looked very similar and had facial features that resembled hers and also Peter’s. They looked to be young teenagers.

“Thank you. Sketching was just something I...I learned over time,” He said feeling awkward about referring to himself as so much older than he physically was.

Serena walked over and laid down on the bed next to Peter. She looked over at him. “Is this whole ‘other life’ thing weird for you? It’s certainly something I’m trying to get used to and I wasn’t even the one to do it.”

Peter shrugged as he laid back on his arms and looked up at the ceiling. “Sometimes I guess. I miss the kids...But I knew this was a one way trip. There is no going back and I wouldn’t want to anyway. I get to fall in love with you all over again,” he said as he smiled. “What about you...is it strange for you?” he asked as he shifted onto his side to face her. “I mean, there is an expectation here. You and I fall in love, get married, have children. That knowledge has already affected this timeline. Your decisions. I mean...I know how I feel and what I want to happen. But I think, since you’re ‘only’ 21, that if we are to move forward, that you be the one to move us forward. I’ve made love to you thousands of times Serena. And I still do, in my dreams,” He said as he lightly touched her face. He traced a finger across her left eyebrow and smiled that boyish smile he had when he was thinking about her. “And yet, I am still curious about how that might feel, with you,” he said honestly.

Serena looked at Peter and into his eyes. He had a way of making her feel shy and she smiled and blushed slightly at his words. She had never felt a love this strong for anyone ever before. It was so strong that it frightened her in some ways, but she knew that only meant that what she was feeling was real.

She looked into his eyes for a long moment before reaching over and gently pulling him towards her and into a kiss. As they kissed she shifted so she was on her back and Peter shifted so he was partially atop her.

Peter kissed Serena softly and allowed his weight to settle upon her. They traded soft kisses and smiles and enjoyed the feel of one another’s body as they kissed. They held one another close and felt the warmth and desire between them grow. Peter wanted Serena physically, sexually but he wouldn’t go any further than just touching her body over her clothes. She felt wonderful there and their lips fought out the others hungrily.

Serena wanted Peter as much as he wanted her, but his Aunt was in the house and she didn't feel comfortable going any further than what they were doing at that moment. They kissed for a while and then just laid there facing each other and talking quietly. Serena finally realized how late it was getting and she knew she needed to go. Peter took her back to the Tower and they said good night with a few more kisses.

A few days later they met with Natalya and she agreed to train Serena one on one. Peter was there for support during her training sessions, although she noticed that he was also spending a lot of time with her father in the lab.

One evening Serena and Peter found themselves alone in the Tower. Her parents and Kate and Steve were out at a function and likely wouldn't be home until after midnight and Logan and Natalya had gone out to a bar to have a few drinks and shoot some pool. Serena and Peter were in her room watching a movie. She was leaned up against him on her bed and his arm was around her shoulders. One finger was lightly caressing up and down her arm.

The movie was Harry Potter The Deathly Hallows part 2. And they both loved the series though Peter had seen them already. This movie was released a year earlier and Serena had seen it but it was nice to cuddle and watch a movie. “You know I never realized that Harry was given the cloak in the very first movie,” he said. He had to watch where he touched her because she could be ticklish. His hand shifted up to her neck and then slowly he shifted his hand down to in between her breasts.

Serena was enjoying the movie, but she was enjoying being with Peter even more. The more time she spent with him, the more she realized that she didn't like being apart from him. She tried to focus on the movie, but as Peter's hand began to shift her attention began to get pulled away from what was happening on the screen to what he was doing. She titled her head up to look at him and her eyes met his. She looked at him for a moment before she made a decision. She reached over and grabbed the remote and turned off the movie. Peter seemed to realize what she was thinking and she could tell he wasn't going to need any convincing. They began to kiss, softly at first, but then their kisses became deeper and more passionate.

Peter loved the feel of Serena’s lips on his. He felt her move his hand onto her left breast and when he gently squeezed her there he felt her breath in his mouth. Their kisses became more heated and he shifted his hand down to the bottom of her shirt and drew it up far enough so he could touch her stomach with his hand.

For Peter it had been years since he had had sex and the last person he had had sex with was Serena though an older version of her. Serena’s stomach was tight and warm and he moved his hand up and touched her breast over her bra. The kisses never ceased and Peter’s heart felt like it was going to bust out of of his chest. “Oh Serena, I want you,” he whispered.

Serena moved her lips over to whisper in Peter's ear. "Then take me...."

Sometime later they lay in each other's arms in her bed. Their clothes were discarded on the floor and the movie was long forgotten. Serena felt truly happy and she knew that she had found her soul mate...or perhaps re-found him. They lay quietly in the dark for a time just basking in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Serena shifted her head and lightly kissed Peter's chest a few times before looking up at him.

"Would you ever consider moving into the Tower?"

Serena moved her lips over to whisper in Peter's ear. "Then take me...."

Serena shifted her head and lightly kissed Peter's chest a few times before looking up at him.

"Would you ever consider moving into the Tower?"

Peter smiled at what Serena said. His eyes were closed as he basked in the delight and happiness he felt right then. “You know I’ve considered it. But I think Aunt May likes having me there,” he said then tilted his head down to look at her.

“But I’ll talk with her and see what she says. There are several empty rooms here,” he said and saw he expression change into a smile at that. A knowing smile. “But I think I’d be spending most of my time here,” he said and gave her a playful wink.

Serena grinned and laughed a little. She hoped that perhaps Peter would be able to come live at the Tower, but if he decided to stay with Aunt May she wouldn't blame him. This was his opportunity to spend time with his Aunt again. No matter what, they would find time for each other.

"So, when are you going to tell me what you and my father are working on in the lab?"

“When we are reasonably certain. It’s going to work,” he said. “I could give you a hint to what it is...with perhaps a little more convincing,” he said playfully.

“How have your one on ones been going with Natalya? Have you talked with her much yet?” He asked.

Serena shifted a little and draped her arm over Peter's chest. "They've been going alright. Unlike with Logan, Natalya actually wants to teach me. She's tough, but fair. I have talked to her. She agrees that Logan was bullying me and wants to help. She says I have natural fighting talent, it's just a matter of honing those abilities."

“I’ve had to rely on fighting hand to hand several times. Sometimes, you can’t rely on your powers and you never know what might sneak up on you,” Peter said then shifted quickly to come to half lay upon her. He kissed her again then held his head up with his arm above her. He slid a few strands of hair back behind her ear and traced his finger along her eyebrow like he loved to do.

“I am excited about the future. You and I as Avengers fighting side by side,” Peter said. “And getting closer to you,” he whispered as he slid his fingers down between her breasts. He looked down to look at them and smiled as he touched her right nipple with his finger. He loved her body and that included her breasts that were firm and round and felt wonderful in his hand.

“Oh I really don’t want to have to leave you tonight,” he groaned and rolled off of her onto his back beside her. It was Saturday tomorrow and he looked at her. “Do you think it would be alright if I stayed with you tonight?” He asked.

Serena smiled as she thought about her future with Peter. They had a lot to look forward to and she felt that together they could accomplish almost anything. She wasn’t ready for marriage or children, but perhaps in time she would be. For now, she wanted to finish her degree and focus on the work she and Peter were doing at Oscorp.

She looked over at Peter when he said he didn’t want to leave tonight. She smiled when he asked if he could stay with her that night. “I was rather hoping you would,” she admitted. “What will you tell your aunt?”

“The truth is, I’m not a teenager anymore. I know she’s a little old-fashioned but I think she’ll let me slide on this,” he said. “I can’t imagine what we’ll do though,” he said with a smile. And then he attacked her again.

The next morning he was spotting her as she used the bench press. “Come on, one more, one more!” He encouraged as she pushed the weight up once more. She grunted and then dropped the weight back down. “Awesome Serena,” Peter said. He handed her her towel. Peter set the machine up for himself. This bench press machine was on a track system. Tony had designed it for extremely heavy weights. Peter decided to show off a little and set the weight at 8tons. He got into the machine and then with an intake of breath, he lifted the weight and did it again and again and again then set the weight down. He sat up and looked back at the weight.

The odd thing about Peter was that he was lithe. Lithe and a lot stronger than he looked. “It took a long time for me to learn how to ‘not’ crush things in my hands. I think people take their existences for granted. Being gentle takes effort and having restraint,” he said.

Eventually, Serena and Peter went to sleep. The following morning, Serena awoke in Peter's arms and she couldn't help but smile about that. She hoped that he would be able to move into the Tower. He had not officially joined the Avengers yet (as he was waiting until she was able to join), but he was confident that it was going to happen and if they were going to be apart of the team they would need to be at the Tower to be able to respond more quickly to situations.

They finally decided to get up and went down to the workout room. Serena didn't use the bench press a lot, but Peter said he would spot her and so she agreed. The effects of her late night workouts were really starting to come into play. Her body was a little more toned and she was able to lift a little bit more weight than she had been able to before. After she was finished, Peter set up the machine for himself and Serena was shocked when he set the weight to 8 tons. She hoped he would be able to actually lift that because she was not going to be able to help him if he couldn't. She watched in fascination as he actually did lift the 8 ton bar not only once, but twice!

Serena handed Peter his towel and then came over and sat down next to him on the bench itself. "So, what is the maximum amount of weight you can handle?"

Peter knew the answer to that question. “Around 10 tons give or take,” he said. “With your father’s suit he made for me, maybe 14 tons,” he said. “And I was never much of a jock,” he said. “I wonder what you were like as a student. I think you would have enjoyed going to High School. Going to prom and experience dating as a teenager,” He said. “Well, I’m certain you did..I mean as a high schooler,” Peter clarified and he touched his head.

“Almost all of the memories of the Peter I was here are gone. All I remember now is a high school with you there. Only memories where I came from are in my head. Save for the new ones you’ve made with me,” he said with a smile. “Hey, c’mere,” he said softly and he had that ‘look’ in his eyes right then. He wanted to kiss her if not more than just that. When she came to him he pulled her on top of his legs to straddle him as he sat on the bench. He lifted up his chin and presented his face for her to kiss if she wanted. “I love you Serena,” he said as his blue eyes looked up at her. There was love in his eyes. A strong, deep love that needed her...wanted her in every way.

As Serena wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him though they didn’t hear Natalya come down the stairs. She paused and smirked at them. She gave them a few more moments and then spoke. “You two lovebirds interested in some training or shall I come back later?” She said with a smile.

Serena eyes widened when Peter told her how much he thought he could handle with the new suit his father had made for him. "That's incredible." She smiled at Peter when he mentioned high school. "I feel like I missed out on a lot of things by not attending a real school until college, but my father thought I could get a better education with just a private tutor. They hired the best tutors they could find from around the world and, although I know I got an amazing education, I wish that I could have experienced all those things that normal teenagers get to experience. I can still remember going out shopping and seeing moms with their daughters buying prom dresses and being a little jealous."

When Peter beckoned for her to come over she smiled and moved closer to him and he pulled her up ontop of him to straddle his legs. She looked down at him and rested her forehead against his for a moment. "I love you too Peter," she said softly. She then wrapped her arms around his neck and began to kiss him. She felt Peter immediately kiss her back and the kiss began to slowly deepen. However, before it could grow into anything more than that, Natalya interrupted them. They both jumped a little and Serena's face flushed slightly, though she smiled at Peter and then looked back over at Natalya.

"No, we're interested in training."

That afternoon Tony called Serena into the lab through the intercom system. He had a pair of what looked like gauntlets on holders on the table he sat next to. The table had all sorts of components on it and he smiled when he saw her come in.

“Hey kiddo, I know you’re probably busy but I wanted to test these gauntlets out with you,” he said as he gestured toward them. They shined like silver and obviously made for a woman. “Peter and I have been working on these. They are supposed to help you produce more energy and help you not tap your bodies reserves to much,” he said as he helped her fit them onto her forearms. They were padded on the inside with what looked like banks of collectors that touched her skin.

“Consider them like amplifiers,” he said. “Now, I’m going to turn on that laser and point it at you. See that target? I want you to use blasts or beams, no orbs ok?” he said then handed her some goggles and lowered his own.

Serena and Peter trained with Natalya for about an hour before she went to go get a shower. Peter had to leave to go home and check on Aunt May. That afternoon, Serena was in her room doing some reading when she heard her father call her to the lab. She headed in there and saw a pair of gauntlets on the table. When he said he wanted to test them with her she looked at them more closely and could see that they were designed for a woman...for her. She smiled happily and her smile grew even more when she learned that this is what Peter had been working on with her father. Her father helped her fit them onto her forearms and she listened to his instructions. She was excited, but tried to focus on what she needed to do. She took the pair of goggles he handed her and put them on. She then waited for him to turn on the laser and point it at her. When he did she lifted up her right hand and shot an energy blast at directly at it.
