The next few days was a time for healing. Twice a day Steve slathered on the gel and luckily it didn’t look like she’d have any real noticeable scars.

Serena’s bruises were now just yellow splotches and the lines of redness were now almost gone as well.

Tony has been working almost nonstop on installing energy emitters. But now because of Cable he intended to add in a temporal diffuser if what he suspected Cable of doing was any guide to what they could be up against. Rhodes and Wilson has agreed to help him install the emitters and Steve, Logan, Natalya and Peter helped as well with the heavy lifting. He had to take off the wall panels, destroy the floor and ceiling and painstakingly replace the floor as they set down the energy emitters.

Serena helped in making the emitters while Isabella and Kate took care of Will in shifts. Naturally Steve and Kate’s room was the first to be completed but they had a long way to go for the rest of the main floor.

The first semester of college for Peter and Serena drew ever closer and already they began to feel how the long and sudden separation that they would endure was making them cherish their time together.

Tony had apparently thought it would be hilarious to not tell Rhodes and Wilson that Natalya and Logan were now together. He and everyone else knew that both men had a thing for her and he had laughed so hard when they were nearly attacked by Logan when they tried flirting with Natalya. No one else laughed and thankfully a few beers was all it took to get Logan, Rhodes, and Wilson to be friendly towards each other again. The work in installing the emitters was long and tedious, but needed to be done. However, with multiple people working on it it went by quicker than it would have otherwise.

Serena had continued working on controlling a smaller energy shield and finally was able to surround the apple without it bursting or being too large. She tried several other objects that got progressively larger until they reached the baby doll that was the size of William. She was able to surround it easily and was now using her new bracelet gauntlets that helped her control and maintain her energy levels. The first time she tried it on William himself she was extremely nervous, but she was able to do it and William was unharmed.

Serena was currently sitting down in her father's lab alone making some emitters. The first semester their Junior year was coming up in less than two weeks and the thought of being separated from Peter for several months was upsetting, but she knew that they could get through this. They would see each other as often as they could and then at the holidays and they had already worked out a Skype schedule for every few days.
