Coming back Alive (June 2013)

Serena listened to Peter quietly. She let him speak without interruption and she appreciated how open and honest he was being with her. While he spoke she continued to gently caress his skin. When he finished speaking she lay there quietly for a moment before shifting so she could look up at him.

"What happened...what you did is in the past now Peter. You cannot dwell on it. In that moment you made a decision because you had to. You feel guilt because of the death of your wife in the other life you had and now you feel guilt because of this. Do not let that guilt consume you, otherwise you won't be able to live your life. However, you also shouldn't suppress that guilt. Learn from it...take from it what you can, but at some point you also have to forgive yourself. You are a good man Peter with an incredible heart. I haven't known you very long, but I've known you long enough to know that."

She reached up and gently cupped his cheek with her hand as she looked into his eyes. "We can change the world for the better...together."
