Freaky Friday (March 2013)

Five months had passed since Red Rogue's attack on the Tower. As soon as the elevator was fixed, Frank left to go find Hannah's hideout. He knew that someone else had been controlling the drone and he wanted to ensure that that person was taken care of as well. After Frank had located the warehouse he had planted some explosives and destroyed the building. Unfortunately, there was so much damage done that he could not tell if Hannah's accomplice had been there or not. Frank had become a regular at the Tower following saving Serena's life that night. Isabella had invited him over for Christmas dinner and they stayed in touch more now.

Tony and Isabella had increased security in the Tower. Even getting the elevator to move required a retinal scan. The damage had been taken care of and everything was finally getting back to normal. Serena and Peter were back to working on their secret project and were making decent progress on it. Peter had officially moved into the Tower after the two of them were made members of the Avengers' team. They both trained now with the team and Serena's training with Logan, Kate, and Steve was paying off. Kate was still healing from her concussion, but her neurologist had cleared her for work. She and Steve had started trying to have a baby. They had talked to Tony and Isabella privately to tell them that they were trying, but so far Kate had not become pregnant. Neither of them were concerned about it though. They knew it could take time.

After months of recovery and physical therapy, Natalya was feeling more like herself again. She would forever have a scar on her stomach from the wound, but she had lived. She and Logan had announced their engagement and they had even picked out a ring, but no date yet had been set. They had been solely focusing on her recovery. Now, however, she had gotten her energy back and that meant that she and Logan were finally able to properly celebrate their engagement.

For Frank the destruction of Hannah’s lair was a necessary thing. There was alot of equipment inside of it and he would not leave anything for her accomplice to use in any fool attempt at retaliation. He knew the accomplice wasn’t there but it didn’t stop him from destroying it. Frank also was one of the few people that had direct access to the elevator. In saving Serena’s life he gained the respect and friendship of the Avengers. And especially Tony.

The tower had been repaired and Tony added even more security measures beyond what he had before. The tower was a fortress now and sensors were added to the crawl spaces inside the outer construction of the building. Peter was happy to get back to work and also pleased that Serena’s enthusiasm to get back to it was just as strong as his was. They worked well together and where he lacked she excelled and visa versa. Each month brought them a step closer to micronizing the arc reactors and crating the first Arc-Nano which would revolutionize well just about everything. To add to this he and Serena were officially training and going out as Avengers. A very exciting time and though Peter had already been an Avenger, doing it again was no less wonderful for him. He and Serena became closer as a couple and they worked well together. Her in her suit and he in his.

Steve and Kate were actively trying to get pregnant but thus far nothing had happened. They weren’t going crazy with it. They just were no longer using any kind of birth control. They both kept busy like before so not much had really changed except, to Steve’s delight, they tended to have more sex then they had before.

The past few months were tough for Natalya. Her wound made moving and exercising a painful experience. She persevered and the others were always there to encourage and push her to work harder and do more every day. Now, fully healed she had returned to Avenger duty and joined the team in training exercises. Her and Logan were also able to properly celebrate their engagement and Isabella, at Logan’s request, made an official announcement. That and the two had been seen together occasionally out and about.

Tony and Isabella were at a board of directors meeting for Stark Industries when Phil Coulson called Kate. She and Steve had just finished a workout and a bit of flirting had started to lead from one thing to another until the call interrupted them. Phil informed Kate that Mesmero was causing some trouble near their area. Steve called a meeting for those team members who were present, Peter, Logan, Kate, and himself.

Kate looked at Steve, hoping that the two of them could get back to what they were doing before Phil's call. "I think Logan and Peter could handle this themselves...don't you?"

One of the telers activated the silent alarm. Mesmero, a notorious criminal had been robbing banks as of late in and around New York City. With his abilities to control and manipulate multiple minds no one had been able to catch him in the act, until now.

With his large, black bag filled with dollar bills Mesmero turned to go but heard sirens in the distance. “How could they know?” He said to himself as he opened the door to the bank and headed outside. As he did he felt something jerk the bag of money…’his’ money out of his grasp. “Mesmero, I’d think you’d find something less...mundane to do with your abilities than robbing banks,” Logan said. Peter was up on the light post with his bag of money.

“Yeah this feels kinda small time for you Mesmero, what gives? You got alot of credit cards or what?” Peter asked.

“I’ll take that bag back, boy! And you...Logan is it? I could make good use of you,” He said. “Oh I wouldn’t do that Mesmero,” Peter said. Mesmero raised his hand toward Logan and Logan stiffened suddenly. “Yes and now…” He began but didn’t get a chance to complete his sentence before Peter hit him with another web. However this web carried a stunning shock to it and Mesmero convulsed as he was hit by the web. He convulsed and then fell to the ground. Logan suddenly shifted and began to move on his own once more. “Wow, well that was a weird feeling. He was going to have me cut that post your own in half!” Logan said. Mesmero’s clothes smoldered slightly as the police showed up. As they restrained him and before they could get the nullifier clasped to his neck, instead of trying to control them he did something to Peter and Logan though the process would take time to complete. As they placed the collar around his neck he began to chuckle. As they rolled him toward the van he roared in laughter.

Peter and Logan returned to the tower and Peter decided to look for Serena. Logan went to the kitchen and opened a beer and wondered where Natalya was.

Steve kissed Kate’s bare shoulder. Their recent love-making session had been...energetic and her body glistened with sweat as she lay on her side. They both heard the guys come back in but neither of them wanted to really move right then. “I think it’s gunna happen after this,” Steve said with a smile. “You were...pretty loud this time,” he said. “I heard that sometimes, the position can help with conception,” He said.

Serena had recently returned to the Tower. She had had a few errands she needed to run, but now she was in the lab working on the program. She heard someone walk in and smiled as she looked up at Peter. "Hey," she said in greeting before leaning up to kiss him. "Where were you?"

Frank had asked Natalya to help him with a few things and she had been happy to oblige. She liked Frank and, after what he had done to help save Serena's life, the team had turned a blind eye to what The Punisher was doing. She walked back in to the Tower a few minutes after Logan and Peter had returned. She found Logan in the kitchen "I'll take a beer too," she said with a little smile.

Kate was now thoroughly exhausted. Between their workout session earlier and their love making session she wasn't sure she was going to be moving from the bed for a while. She smiled when she felt Steve kiss her shoulder and then laughed when she heard what he said. "Being loud has nothing to do with it," she said with a slight blush. She turned over so she was facing him and then reached out and lightly caressed his cheek with her thumb. "Do you want a boy or a girl?"

Peter kissed Serena on the cheek. “Logan and I stopped Mesmero from robbing the Comerica bank over on 64th. It wasn’t very difficult. He was pretty crazy though, he laughed hysterically when they took him away,” Peter said but then his tone and his expression changed to one of concern and he turned her around in the stool to face him.

“I don’t like you leaving without a proper escort. I know it sucks to say that or assume that you need one but...but you know what I mean,” he said. “I know its been months but…” he began and then stopped. He had lived without her for years in that other timeline. “Just be be careful Serena...please?” he asked softly as he took her face into his hands. His hands were warm against the chill of the lab. And his eyes had the softness to them and look so very blue right then.

Logan snatched another beer for Natalya and opened it for her with his, strong, thick fingers. With one hand he picked up the beers and with the other he picked up the bowl of popcorn he had just made. Seasoned with white cheddar and taco seasoning, his favorite. “Don’t think I don’t see you gettin all chummy like with Frank,” Logan said with a dark grin on his face. He almost always had that expression when he was being unruly or mischievous in some way. “That ring says your heart belongs to me. I think I might need you to prove that tonight...again,” He said though his dark grin turned into a genuine smile. Since Natalya had been healed Natalya had been completely insatiable though Logan loved it!

“I didn’t mean your ‘volume’ dear...I meant the ‘position’,” he said with a chuckle and then chuckled more when her face turned even more red. “I would think you’d have grown out of those blushes by now Kate. You know I like it when you tell me what you want,” he said though he had just taken charge this time. “If he or she has ten fingers and ten toes I’ll be happy,” Steve said as he stretched and rested his head onto his large, muscles arms. He still wore the beard.

Later that evening Tony and Isabella returned from their meeting and everyone ate dinner together before going their separate ways. Serena and Peter returned to the lab to work some more, while Steve and Kate went out for a beer and Logan and Natalya went to their room to watch a movie.

It was close to 2 am when Serena and Peter finally turned in. They were both so exhausted that they just went straight to sleep. Natalya and Logan on the other hand felt a little frisky and made love twice before finally falling asleep. Steve and Kate had returned around midnight and had gone straight to their room to get some sleep.

Natalya shifted as the first rays of light streamed in through their bedroom window and hit her eyes. She grinned and moved closer to Logan...pressing her naked body against his. She began to lightly kiss along his jawline. She felt him shift and smile but his eyes didn’t yet open. She grinned to herself and moved her lips up to his ear. She whispered something very naughty in Russian in his ear. Something she knew he would understand.

Peter had the strangest dreams. As if he were having over himself then moving. An odd sensation when you know your sleeping. The weightlessness was actually kind of cool. Even as Soiderman he never could accomplish that. Everything he did required effort. This? This just happened. And then his mind went back to sleep.

Peter smiled. He liked it when Serena woke him up ‘in that way’. He didn’t open his eyes, he allowed her hands to go where she wanted them to go though he knew he didn’t need any effort on her part to excite him. Just being this close to…her hand felt...odd on his leg. And the way her body felt pressed up against him. And then the words spoken in russian! This wasn’t Serena! This was...he opened his eyes with a start. “Natalya?!” He sad quickly then felt her hand on him. With an oath he rolled out of bed. However as he did he felt a sharp pain on his hands and then white bed stuffing and feathers from his pillow filled the air around him as he crashed into the far wall. He looked down at his hands.

“Ahhhh!” He exclaimed. He had claws….long ones and his hands and arms were so...hairy! “Ahhhh!” He said again as he tried to stand only to stub his toe and then he hit his shin on the bedpost. As he bent over his right hand claws sliced through the post and the bed crunches down and lurched toward that side. Natalya was deposited out onto him and it was all he could do to avoid slicing her with his claws. “Ahhhh! What is this!” He said. But THAT wasn’t his voice.

Natalya had not expected the reaction she got from Logan. She was startled and quite shocked as he began flailing around on the bed. His claws popped out and very nearly stabbed her as he tumbled out of bed. The claws ripped right through the pillows, sheets, and mattress, sending feathers flying around the room.

Natalya was naked as she was flung out of the destroyed bed and on top of Logan. “What the hell is the matter with you?!” she said as she stood up. Natalya was not shy about her body around Logan and she hid nothing.

Peter waved a finger at her and only then realized what he was pointing at. Her bare breasts and glanced down and quickly noticed the rest of her was bare too. He snatched his hand down as if he had been burned by the space between them and he babbled incoherently as he looked down at himself. It was then he noticed he too were naked and it wasn’t ‘his’ body he was seeing. “Ahhhh!” He exclaimed in utter shock and he tried to cover himself with his hands as he stood up. His claws being out through made that impossible so he stood there naked...in front of her...also naked as his panicked mind tried to figure out what to do. He didn’t know how to put ‘his’ claws back in nor how he brought them out. His heart raced as he panted from the quick breaths he took.

“Not LOGAN! PETER!” he managed to get out in a high pitched squeak which sounded very odd with Logan’s voice. Each time he opened his eyes Natalya’s lady bits were in his face and he didn’t know if he should keep his eyes closed or not. He scrambled to put on a pair of gray jogging pants that were on a large wooden chest at the foot of the bed. His claws tore into them but he pulled them back and then gingerly plucked them up with his fingertips. “DON'T look at me!” He snapped in a shaky voice as he managed to put the pants on though they were torn up fairly badly.

“Clothes! Get...Clothes Natalya!” He whined.

Natalya twerked an eyebrow at Logan as he tried to cover himself with his hands. It was becoming more and more apparent that something was happening here. She wasn't sure what it was until he claimed that 'he' was actually Peter. She blinked, but oddly, it was the only thing that made sense. She sighed and rolled her eyes when he whined about her going and putting on some clothes. "Fine," she said as she walked over to the dresser and grabbed some black lace panties, a matching black lace bra, some pants, and a shirt. Even though she knew it was Peter, she still wasn't shy about getting dressed in front of him. Peter though seemed determined not to look at her as she put on her clothes.

Meanwhile...Serena lay entwined in Peter's arms. They had both been exhausted the night before and she still felt tired, but was starting to wake up. She shifted and moved closer to 'Peter' in their bed. She was so close that her body was pressed right up against his and her hair was against his nose. Natalya and Serena each used a different scented shampoo. Serena's smelled like Peonies...a very specific scent and certainly not one Natalya would ever use.

Peter (Logan) smiled. He was beginning to wake up and he liked the feeling of a woman, of Natalya nuzzled up against him. Through her top he could feel the press of her breasts against him, her whole body was against him and the feel of her hair against his face. Normally though his senses were much keener. Even when he was asleep. His arms were around her and he felt her light kisses on his neck and chest. It was not like Natalya to be so coy when she wanted him. Normally she just turned him over and made her needs plain to him. This was nice though, he found that he kinda liked it. However he frowned. He wasn’t certain why at first. His eyes were still closed and he noticed the odd scent of her hair. He did recognize it but...Natalya never used a shampoo that smelled like what Serena used. Maybe she used some of hers? It could be possible he thought as is hands moved down Serena’s back. Why was she wearing clothes? He thought. Natalya almost always slept nude and as he felt her bottom he knew that was not Natalya’s bottom and he opened his eyes.

The moment Logan open his eyes and saw Serena his expression grew grim. ‘What WAS she doing here?’ He thought as he felt her hands touch his body.

“Serena, what are you doing!?” He growled as he grabbed her arms and pushed her away from him in the bed. “Why have…” He began and then looked at the room and down at himself. “What the hell!?” He said and rolled out of bed onto his feet. The bed was near the wall on this side of the bed and when his hand touched the wall he found that it stuck to it. All he was wearing was a pair of boxer short and he saw a lithe hand and arm, not a thick, burly one that should be there. “What….the….hell!?” He said in shock and surprise. When he touched the wall with his other hand that one stuck to it as well. He turned his head to look at a Serena. He could see more than he wanted to through that top and her expression was one of confusion and concern.

Serena began to run her hands down Peter's body. His body was not overly muscular, but he was pure strength. Despite how tired she still was she felt a little...frisky. She and Peter were making excellent progress on the mini arc reactor and that made her feel happy and when Serena felt happy she wanted to share that happiness with Peter. She could feel Peter waking up and she heard him sniff her hair. That was...odd. However, she shrugged it off as she felt his hands move down to her bottom. In that moment, she felt Peter tense up and his eyes flew open to look at her. He looked...shocked. She blinked in surprise as he grabbed her arm and pushed her away from him on the bed. She didn't understand what was happening as he rolled out of bed. He looked nearly panicked and watched with concern as one of his hands stuck to the wall. As he tried to get it off his other hand stuck to the wall as well. She slowly got out of bed and approached him.

"Peter? What has gotten into you? Are you alright?"

Peter (Logan) narrowed his eyes at Serena and when he pulled hard his hand left the wall and he turned so his back was to it. He held up his free hand toward her. “Don’t...you just...stay there, what is this? What’s going on!?” He said almost angrily and felt a wave of concern rise in him. He looked at his arm and hand again. “Why…” he began and then saw the mirror in the bathroom. With an effort he managed to pull his other hand off the wall. He slid along the wall, careful not to touch it, and moved around Serena. He tried not to get to close to her as he back his way up to the bathroom. When she spoke at him he waggled a finger at her.

“Nope, mmm, mmm!” He said as he moved back into the bathroom. When he looked into the mirror his eyes grew large and he reached up his hands to touch his face. “Son of a bitch!” He said and turned on the water and began to wash his face. Once he felt he had washed it enough he straightened and looked back into the mirror. No change…

“Son of a bitch!!!” He said loudly and worriedly. “What! How!” He shuddered as he saw Serena’s worried face behind him. He turned quickly and held up his hand to her. “Dont!” He said forcefully. He did not want her to touch him. Someone was doing something to him...maybe to them all. Was this even Serena? Maybe it wasn’t. He didn’t know anything at this point. “Who are you!?” He growled in a voice that was not his own. At least not the voice he knew. Well he knew the voice, it was peter's but it was not his.

Serena just stood there with her mouth agape as she tried to understand what was happening right now. This wasn't Peter. She knew that much right away. Peter very rarely cursed and even less rarely raised his voice. When she heard the growl her eyes grew large. Was it...? It couldn't be...? Could it...?

"Logan?" When she heard the growl again she knew that was him. "Logan...it's me...Serena. Serena Maria Stark. I was born February 7th 1991. You've known me nearly my entire life."

It was then that they both heard a commotion coming from down the hallway. It seemed to be coming from Logan and Natalya's room. Serena quickly got on her comm link to get her parents and Steve and Kate.

"Uh guys...we have a bit of a situation here..."

Needless to say, by now, when Serena said something like this, everyone responded and fast. Steve kissed Kate one last time and then got up and began to put some clothes on. Tony got out of bad, they both did, in a flash and threw on his burgundy robe. He had no idea what this could be but he wasn’t about to take any chances. He shoved his toes into his gold slippers and headed out of his room toward Serena’s room.

Everyone seemed to arrive at the same time. Everyone was in robes or loose clothes that they had to hand. Logan (Peter) and Natalya came over last though something was definitely off about them. Logan’s claws were out and he walked awkwardly like he wasn’t used to walking. He looked...unsteady on his feet and his burly chest was completely bare.

Isabella led them into the room. “Serena? Is everything alright?” She asked as they all began to file in.

Serena put on her own robe and waited for everyone to arrive. She looked at 'Logan' and knew that Peter must be in there. He seemed rather awkward in Logan's body and didn't appear to know how to retract the claws.

"Well, I'm fine," she told her parents, who both seemed relieved. "But these two..." she said as she motioned to 'Peter' and 'Logan' aren't. Peter...I'm assuming that's you?" she asked as she looked at Logan's body.

Seeing Serena made Logan (Peter) relax. His claws snapped in and he moved over and put his arms around her. “Oh god, this is like a really bad dream,” He said. Instinctively he kissed her cheek.

Peter (Logan) just scowled at everyone though he was looking at Natalya the most. “Well, this is a strange order of events, how did we end up like this? And what do we do about it,” he asked. “No offense kid, but I’d like my own body back,” Logan said though he did like the feeling of this other body. It felt...lighter, more limber and agile. He could sense movement in a brand new way. It was...liberating to feel as young as this new body was.

Serena knew it was Peter inside Logan’s body, but it still freaked her out to have ‘Logan’ kiss her and hug her. “Ok, I love you Peter, but it’s a little unsettling to have you in Logan’s body kissing me.”

Isabella was trying to process everything that was happening when she looked over and saw her husband video recording what was happening. She gave him a look and he put his phone away.

“Ok, so this just happened to you two. Did anything happen yesterday involving you both?”

Logan (Peter) shook his head and then groaned. “Oh wait...Mesmero, we stopped Mesmero, i bet he did something to us!” He said quickly. Peter (Logan) only nodded and looked angry. “Well, it sounds as if we need to pay the man a visit,” he said and cracked his knuckles. Something Logan would do though it looked odd using Peter’s body.

“How would that make any difference? If he didn’t want to change us back, why would he?” Logan said. “Oh, he’ll do it,” Peter said in a threatening tone. “What if it’s...permanent’,” Peter said just playing devils advocate and he looked right at Serena when he said it.

“Well we’re not there yet Logan...uh...Peter,” Steve said. “Lets just go see this Mesmero and see whats what first ok?” he suggested.

Serena sincerely hoped that this reversal wasn't permanent. She loved Peter, but she wasn't sure if she could make love to him while he was in Logan's body. The mere thought freaked her out. If Mesmero wouldn't change them back, maybe they could get Dr. Strange to do it. They at least had a second option.

"I'll go call Phil," Kate said and then stepped out of the room. She gave Phil a call and he arranged for them to get access to Mesmero on the SHIELD Helicarrier. The entire team would go. They weren't going to take any chances with this.

An hour later the Avengers' jet was aboard the SHIELD Helicarrier and Kate greeted Phil with a hug. "Thanks for helping us out."

During the flight Logan (Peter) spoke to Serena and he didn’t like what she said. If they could not reverse this than it was likely that she would not be able to remain with him. So, he could not remain in Logan’s body, that much was certain.

Everyone was ill at ease being on a SHIELD ship. It was like they were in their hands once again and none of them besides Kate really liked it much. Still they had come here for a reason Phil showed them where they held Mesmero.

Mesmero was in a small cell with a nullifier collar on. He was in a gray outfit and he stood when they opened the door to his cell. Peter (Logan) rushed in and grabbed him by his collar snad slammed him up against the wall. “What did you DO! You think this is FUNNY!?” He asked. Peter’s body was alot stronger than Logan’s and the wind was knocked out of Mesmero’s body and he had bruised his ribs. Mesmaro’s eyes bulged and then he passed out when Peter dropped him. “Well that can’t be good,” Logan (Peter) said.

Kate knew that everyone else was ill at ease being on the helicarrier. She knew they all wanted to get off as quickly as possible. She hoped that Mesmero would cooperate. The team was led to the cell where Mesmero was currently being held. Isabella opened her mouth to say something to both Peter and Logan when Peter (Logan) suddenly rushed into Mesmero's cell and grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall. She sighed when he knocked the wind out of Mesmero and he passed out and dropped to the floor.

"Really Logan? Now what are we supposed to do?"

They had no choice but to wait until he came to. 2 guards came and put him into his bed. His eyes opened with a start and when he was them all there, watching him he grinned evilly though he winced to. His ribs hurt alot.

“So, you come to me...a lowly incarcerated criminal? What can Mesmero do for you Avengers,” He said with a smile though it never touched his eyes.

“Oh, you know what!” Peter(Loan) Growled. But Logan (Peter) stepped up. “Look Mesmero, we both got the joke. Ok, it was funny and you’ve had a good laugh. I think its time that you turned us back to our normal bodies,” Logan said. Mesmero’s eyebrows drew up and then he laughed though he winced right after. “That spell is irreversible...why do you think it's so funny?” he said with a gleam in his eyes. “Well, nearly so, I ‘might’ be able to change you back since its only been a short time. But I don’t see why I should. What’s in it for me?” He asked smugly.

Natalya had to hold Peter (Logan) back and keep him from outright punching Mesmero. She reminded him in a hushed voice that they needed him. Serena nearly became distraught when Mesmero told them that the spell was irreversible...however, he then seemed to change his mind, much to her relief.

Isabella approached the criminal when he appeared willing to negotiate. "Due to your crimes we cannot get you released, but we can ensure that they don't kill you and that you live out the rest of your days in relative comfort." She then decided to stroke his ego a little. "You're clearly quite the powerful man. It isn't easy to take down Logan like you have."
