A Failure And A Success (September 2011)

As Serena prepared the tea her mother filled her in on the happenings at the Tower. She missed being in the loop and was visibly surprised to hear that Natalya was in a relationship with Malcolm Cross. She wondered how Logan was taking that. The two of them were very close and Logan was rather protective of her.

She sat down on the couch with her and took a sip of her tea but nearly spit it out and began to cough when her mother asked her straight out who she was seeing.Serena finally got herself under control and looked at her.

“His name is Evan Cullen and he’s in my group at Osborn Corp. We’ve been dating a few months now.”

Isabella grinned behind her cup as she watched Serena splutter. ‘So its like that, is it?’ She thought. Isabella would not begrudge Serena her decisions. She was a woman now and though they still provided alot for her...everything in fact, they still respected her boundaries. Isabella didn’t ask to be nosey. She asked because she wanted to know if her daughter was happy. If she had time for a man than likely she was happy.

“Well If he makes you happy Serena I already approve of him,” she said. The conversation turned to more mundane things but Isabella knew she couldn’t stay long. Serena was very busy and they hugged again as she left her apartment.
