Amara wasn't about to argue with her husband and Captain about his decision. It was ultimately his decision, even if the rest of them didn't like it. She still felt that there was something else going on with the Etarians. They had lied about the humanoids being dangerous and their warp ship was nowhere to be seen. However, she held her tongue.

After they were dismissed, Amara stood but she paused to see if James was going to ask her to stay. He often did and she could see that he wanted to, but he didn't so she sighed a little and left. She went back to her station to monitor the communication frequencies.

Elyse watched her husband storm off the bridge in a huff, but she couldn't go after him since she was still on duty. She took her seat at her station as they headed to the next planet.

Paragraen III was a bit different than the sixth planet. It was much smaller for one thing and it had an odd elliptical orbit. Right now the orbit was such that the temperature was fairly temperate but in a few months that would change when its orbit took it out further away from its son. Both Spock and Scarlett agree that in a few hundred millennia, it may be likely that the planet ends up becoming a Rogue planet. "Standard orbit Kal," Kirk said. "Elyse..." He began but A long, pillar of light appeared on the bridge and began to move slowly around. It moved through the Tactical console and Elyse had to back away from it as she felt the immense energy of it and its brightness hurt her eyes. Kirk shielded his eyes as did Spock though Spock grabbed Scarlett's tricorder and began to scan it.

"Spock...what is it!?" He asked but his voice was muffled do to the sound of the energy. "Its some kind of high energy probe Captain," Spock said. "It's originating from the planet," Spock said. "Scarlett, can you get a fix on its origin?" Kirk asked as he still shielded his eyes.

Scarlett and Spock hadn't spoken about the Etarians since the ready room. They remained professional as they worked. They were married and loved one another very much, but they didn't always agree. No couple was always going to agree. The decision was made and all Scarlett could do was try not to think about it. Thankfully, she had a new planet to distract her. It's odd, elliptical orbit intrigued her and as she and Spock studied it further, they concluded that in a few hundred millennia it would likely become a Rogue planet.

They had just started to move in standard orbit when suddenly a bright pillar of light appeared on the bridge. It was blinding and everyone had to shield their eyes. Elyse was forced to back away from the tactical console and she could feel the intense energy. Scarlett winced, but then looked through the scanners to try and get a fix on the origin.

The probe moved about the bridge and Kirk saw it was looking into their main computer.. “Quickly, Amara, lockout the main computer!” Kirk said quickly. And then the probe began to examine Elyse. Tendrils of light struck her and it felt as if every muscle in her body was suddenly tightened. She couldn’t move and it was extremely painful. Kal tried to intervene but he was hit by a tendril and thrown back so hard he did not get back up immediately. Fiona got up to see if he was alright.

The probe eventually released her and she fell to the floor bonelessly. The probe moved toward Amara and, like Elyse examined her. She found that her suit protected her from the harsh effects of the tendril of light but she could feel it’s touch. And then the probe and Amara were gone.

Kirk stood in shocked silence as his vision cleared. But she was definitely gone. He knew it took her...somewhere. But where? And who sent the probe? For a moment the bridge was so silent a pin could have dropped and they’d have heard it. He turned to Scarlett.

“Those coordinates Scarlett?” He asked in an abrupt voice. After she gave them he stepped down and helped Elyse up. Now that the probe wasn’t touching her, her muscles returned to normal.

Amara quickly reacted and locked out the main computer so the probe couldn't access that information. Elyse was still standing and suddenly several tendrils of light emerged from the main pillar and struck her. She was in extreme pain, but she couldn't move. She saw Kal try to help her, but a tendril shot out and hit him...throwing him back so hard that he didn't immediately get up. Fiona rushed over to him to make sure he was alright.

The probe suddenly released her and she fell in a heap to the ground. It was then that the probe turned towards Amara. Like Elyse, Amara couldn't move, although her Section 31 suit protected her from the effects that Elyse had felt. However, unlike Elyse, it didn't let her go. Instead, in a flash of light the probe and Amara disappeared.

Everyone stared at the place were Amara had been standing only seconds before, but she was gone. Scarlett read out the coordinates to the origin of the probe. Had it taken her there? No one could be certain at this point.

Elyse was grateful for Jim's help. Her muscles were slowly returning to normal, although it would take a few minutes for her to be able to walk again. With Jim's help, she sat down and then looked at him.

"We'll find her...we'll get her back."
