A Party On Campus Stardate 2254.105

The entire campus was one, big party. The flare up of hostilities between the Tellarites and Andorians was over. Students and Instructors were asked to celebrate together and no classes or studies. Spock ofcourse would have preferred to spend the time doing something productive but he was asked to come to Admiral Charen’s party. He had a huge estate just off campus and he opened it up to the entire student body. There were other parties going on ofcourse but none were as grand as this one and the entire Science division was in attendance.

Spock had defeated 2 instructors and 2 students in 3d chess. He found that he was enjoying playing. He had played it when he was a boy and had always loved the game. He had been drinking Vulcan wine, he liked the unusually strong spirit and over time it had begun to affect him physically. Cadet Teekos Hesh’ta, a Bolian tipped over his King as Spock had checkmated him in 9 moves. Spock was in his black, instructors uniform.

“Good game Cadet,” Spock said and his mouth had a slight grin on it. A rare sight for him. Commander Wendell Somers, one of the Instructors had secretly vowed to get him tipsy and made certain his glass was always partially full. The Bolian stood and nodded a bow to Spock. There was a small crowd that watched though people constantly came and went from the crowd. He sat under a pergola that was just a few feet from the wrap around, white deck. The pool and hot tub were packed with people and many students were wearing swim suits and playing in the pool and hot tub. There was volley ball and tennis outside and inside, the game room was completely packed. There were 3 bars going and 2 kitchens pumping out food for the guests. There was a live band and a large area cordoned off for dancing.

Despite her academic prowess, Scarlett enjoyed parties and having fun. She had been working particularly hard this semester on a research project and the treaty between the Tellarites and the Andorians was the perfect excuse to let off a little steam and relax. She had been invited to Admiral Charen's party and by the time she arrived the party was already in full swing. Scarlett was stopped by a few people she knew to talk and she laughed as she stepped over to the beverages table to get something to drink. 

She began to wander through the house and catch up with a few friends. However, as she was walking past the library she noticed a group of people there and one of them she knew very well. Spock had been her mentor for the past 6 months. Scarlett had been paired with Spock after her other instructors had not been able to keep up with her. Spock challenged Scarlett and made her think about things in ways her other instructors hadn't. However, beneath all of that Scarlett couldn't help but feel that there was something more happening between them. She shared a bond with him that she had never felt with anyone else. At times she believed he might feel the same for her, but being half Vulcan he was difficult to read. She walked in and saw he was playing 3d chess. She smiled at him.

"Need a new opponent?"

Spock knew that voice and his grin increased when he saw that it was none other than Cadet Wright. He had a growing respect for Scarlett Wright. She had a keen mind and never liked to give up on a problem. Those were qualities Spock liked in a student. He had been assigned to her to take her under his wing. He was not the only one to notice her abilities and her aptitude tests had been very good. Though Spock was half Vulcan, he was also half human. His eyes scanned over her body and his dark eyes noticed beauty when they saw it. That, and the wine made his eyes linger on her a bit longer than was proper. Decidedly her breasts which were quite magnificent.

Scarlett wasn't everyone's cup of tea. And a few students, some of them female, had considered her a rival. Spock was not unpopular with women. Many of them considered Spock a challenge and they had tried to get him to react to them when they had tried to entice him into dating them. He had always refused citing that it was inappropriate for an instructor to date a student. Which it was. Scarlett though? He felt a certain 'kinship' or 'closeness' to her as of late. That and they were working on real projects for Starfleet. Likely, Scarlett never saw him grin nor saw his eyes look at her the way they were right then. He noticed that she was a woman and a very beautiful one at that. Her long, blonde hair was styled in a way that enhanced how she looked.

"Certainly Cadet," Spock said but he had wanted to call her Scarlett. He gestured for her to sit and stood politely as she did then sat back down.

Scarlett had gotten her intelligence from both of her parents, but her body she got from her mother. She drew the eyes of guys and jealous looks from girls, particularly since she seemed to have a special bond with Spock.

Scarlett was a little tipsy, but she still felt confident enough to play well. As she approached the table she couldn’t help but notice the way Spock looked at her...particularly her breasts. Not only that, but he was grinning. She had never seen him like that before. She found that she actually enjoyed having him look at her like he was. She smiled and sat down. She took another sip of her drink and set it down as she waited for him to set up the table.

Spock's wine glass was refilled though he was focusing on setting the game board up. He had let her select her color, White or black and she had chosen black which had garnered a reaction from the crowd that had increased slightly now that Scarlett sat down. Spock had played several games of this with her and she had become fairly good at it. He still one 4 games in 5 when they played but he knew her to never wanting to give up. Just like he expected she had made an aggressive move. He made his move and then the game began.

"You look...very nice Cadet. I don't think I've ever seen you in a dress," Spock said as he examined the board and waited for her move. Normally when they played, they never spoke to one another. They concentrated fully on the game. Now though, they were talking and Spock found that he enjoyed seeing Scarlett and being able to socialize with her away from the lab.

Scarlett and Spock has played 3D chess before, and although Spock usually won, she was getting better and felt rather confident tonight. She examined the board and made her next move as the crowd began to press in around them to watch. Normally women as attractive as Scarlett didn’t play chess so people were extremely interested and bets began to get placed as to who would win.

“Do you like it?” Scarlett asked with a little grin. Her Cadet uniform was actually a dress, but clearly he considered that a uniform instead of a dress.

"It's too early to tell but your aggressive tendencies are leading me to you trying the Kellestri's Gambit," Spock said. He moved his Knight right away. He liked the Knight piece. It often confused Scarlett. He was very good at employing them. "It accentuates your...features," he said. Though, in horror he was about to say her breasts. The wine was affecting him and saying that outloud would have been...pretty horrible. But he couldn't stop looking at her. Her eyes, so large and blue and wonderful. Her mouth, was that lipstick that made them so full and red? Her hair, "Golden like a summer sunrise," he had said but didn't realize he had said it aloud as he focused on the board.

There were a few snickers amongst the crowd at what Spock said. Scarlett looked across the table and her eyes met Spock’s for a moment. She smiled a little at what he said. She found she actually enjoyed hearing such comments from him. She enjoyed knowing that he noticed her.

They continued to play and the tension began to grow. Scarlett was holding her own in the game and by now there wasn’t any more standing room.

Once more Spock's wine cup was filled and he saw an opportunity in the game. Scarlett had several of his pieces but he had several of hers. It was still anyone's game but Spock still felt he had the edge. Only just though. He moved his queen to guard but to also threaten her bishop. But what he hadn't seen was that she intended on giving away her bishop. If he took the bait she'd take his queen with her knight that she moved into position.

"You're playing extremely well today Scarlett. You seem...inspired, I'm curious as to what you're thinking about," He said as he waited for her move.

Scarlett kept a straight face as Spock fell for her trap. She let him take her Bishop, but she moved her Knight to take his Queen. She took a sip of her drink and then grinned at him.

“Wouldn’t you like to know,” she teased flirtatiously.

Spock's face actually frowned slightly for a moment before it changed back to his usual stony calm. But she would have seen that. Losing his queen was a major blow so Spock took on a defensive posture. His only real choice now. As she took a pawn, and then another and then his precious remaining knight he saw no outcome that would prevent her from winning the game in 5 moves. With a sigh he tipped over his king to concede the game.

There was a collective gasp of surprise as he did that. "Congratulations Cadet, you would have beaten me in 5 moves," Spock said. He stood as he took up his cup. He nodded a bow to her. "Thank you for the game, would you care to...join me to peruse the party?" he asked cautiously. Most of his Peers were there and many of hers as well. Many people congratulated Scarlett including a few Officers and Instructors who had obviously been beaten by Spock by the way they spoke to her. It was like David had just killed Goliath by how they spoke about the game.

Scarlett had only beaten Spock once or twice and so having beaten him in front of a group of people was quite satisfying. A majority of the bets had been placed in Spock’s favor meaning a few people cleaned up as a result of her win. She smiled and stood up when he congratulated. Her smile increased when he asked her if she wanted to join him in walking around the party.

“I would enjoy that very much.”

They stepped out of the room and once they began to walk around she looked at him.

“Me beating you in the game is a testament to your skills as a teacher.”

"You are too kind Scarlett," Spock said as they stepped off the deck and walked toward the gardens. Spock liked plants but there were some varieties that he did not know. He asked her what they were and their walk had turned into her teaching him about botany. But she'd notice that they had ended up pretty far in. It was a natural garden and she discovered that they were now alone. There were Orchids and other rare flowers where they were. Beautiful and Fragrant.

Spock was really feeling the alcohol. Well that and the particular chemical that made it so Vulcans could feel inebriation. Something they rarely did. He had wanted to get her alone. He wanted to experience a kiss. And he wanted to taste Scarlett's lips. Not appropriate at all but he really didn't care much right then. Scarlett saw an extremely rare Orchid, one she had only seen in pictures but as she moved toward it she felt Spock's hand on her shoulder. When she turned around he was there and he loomed over her. His hand moved gently to her face and tilted it up as his came down. And then 'the kiss' happened.

It was nice to get away from the chaos of the party. She walked beside Spock as they wandered into the garden. The garden contained many rare and beautiful species of flowers and Scarlett talked to Spock about them as they walked. It was a beautiful, moonlit night and being in the garden like they were had a romantic feeling.

Scarlett spotted a particularly rare Orchid and she started to move towards it. She then felt Spock’s hand on her shoulder and she slowly turned around. As she did, she saw him there looking down at her. As their eyes met a strong feeling came over her. She knew in that moment that Spock held her heart. As their lips touched, she felt her heart begin to beat quicker in her chest.

If Spock wouldn't have been holding his glass in his left hand he would have brought that up to her as well. His lips touched hers and then the kiss lingered. It lingered and built and continued on. She tasted of something sweet and fruity and smelled incredible. His lips tested hers, moved to just kiss her top lip then her bottom lip. Then the left side then the right then his mouth took hers completely. It was a tender moment them kissing there among the flowers in the moonlight. The flowers gave off a wonderful scent and their colors had made the space glow in violets and blues and greens. Spock just couldn't get enough of this experience. He did not want it to end and so they just kept kissing. His heart rate had increased despite his attempts to keep himself disconnected by what his body was doing. It just wasn't possible as her lips kissed him and his lips kissed hers. When they finally broke their faces were very close.

"I can't seem to stop myself tonight Scarlett," Spock said softly. And then his lips were on her neck and his hand had moved down to her waist though in a respectful place. Spock had very strong hands. he felt her kissing his neck as well and then their lips met back up again.

Scarlett had been kissed before, but all of those kisses paled in comparison to Spock’s kiss. Spock was always in such control of his emotions, but tonight he had let himself go, if even just a little bit. Scarlett knew the wine had something to do with it, but she knew that wasn’t the whole cause. Spock wouldn’t have just kissed her like he had, even with a head full of wine, unless he felt a strong connection to her. Vulcans weren’t like humans in that regard. They chose their partners very carefully.

As he pulled back from the kiss, she felt that perhaps the moment was over (although she wanted it to continue), but then she felt his lips on her neck and his hand on her waist. Everything about the moment felt...right. She knew he was her mentor and what they were doing was inappropriate, but she didn’t care.

“Then don’t,” she whispered back to him before she began to kiss his neck. Then, their lips met again and Scarlett’s head began to spin. This was the most incredible kiss she had ever experienced.

They continued like that for quite some time. Their lips had opened up a connection between them and Spock allowed his emotions to flow through them and into her. Not a mind meld but she felt the strength of his passion for her. Vulcans had emotions but they only suppressed them through years and years of practice. He being half human though made that much more difficult. There were moments while he kissed her that she saw his thoughts. He wanted to see her naked, especially her breasts. He wanted to kiss them and touch them and squeeze them. He wanted her to touch him as well. She might be surprised to know that he had experienced sex...of a sort. It was called Pon Farr. She saw a Vulcan woman showing him how to touch her fingers with his fingers and she repeated the touching with her own. He was a boy then, no older than 14 but the woman was much older. She saw it again when he was older but the woman was different and then again when he was older again though the woman had been the same that time. Though this time she was disrobing and then she was disrobing him.

Spock didn't know what he was doing, he was so focused on her kisses and her lips and he, kissing her. Finally though the kiss and physical contact had ended. "You are so beautiful Scarlett," Spock finally said, Though even that had been difficult.

It was strange for Scarlett to experience so much passion from a man who was taught to suppress his emotions. As they kissed images began to flow into her mind from Spock. She knew about Pon Farr, but now she saw images brought up by his passions. She lightly pressed her body against his as the kiss continued. When it finally ended, she looked up into his eyes. Her cheeks and lips were flushed by the kiss. She smiled at his compliment. She reached up and gently placed her hand on the side of his face. She lightly caressed his cheek. “I really like you Spock.”

Spock looked into Scarlett's eyes. "I know this is wrong but I think I've made a decision Scarlett. I'd like to see where this goes. I'd like to see you...inappropriately," Spock said. "There is a risk to both of us, but as of late, because of the recent developments, the penalty is just a bit of humiliation and written reprimand," Spock said. "Are you willing to risk that to...engage in a physical relationship with me?" Spock said.

Scarlett was surprised by Spock’s boldness. However, she was also pleased. She knew it was a risk, but she was willing to go through with it just to be with him. She smiled at him and then leaned in to kiss him again. “Yes, Spock. I am.”
