Coming Into The Fold

Serena wasn't sure what to make of how Peter was acting right now. He wasn't behaving like himself and she didn't know what she had done to upset him. He was angry and that was a strange behavior for him. He was always upbeat and smiling, which was one of the reasons she liked him so much. Something was wrong and she wanted to know what it was. "What's wrong Peter? Are you angry at me?"

Natalya began to think that perhaps tell Malcolm about Logan and her was a bad idea, but he would have found out sooner or later. It was better that it had come from her. She wanted him to know the full truth about her. He deserved that. She decided though not to go into any details about their relationship, she didn't think Malcolm wanted to know that.

She looked up at Malcolm when he told her he was going to be out all day tomorrow and asked her if she wanted to go with him. "What exactly are you going to be doing?"

Kate and Steve had not shared a room yet. When they had been together before it had been in secret and thus she had kept her apartment and he had stayed at the Avengers Tower. In a way having an apartment made it easier for them to keep their relationship a secret because they only ever met over at her apartment. Nothing had ever happened in his room because it was more likely that they would have been caught. But now they didn't have that problem. Because Kate wanted to give herself entirely to the Avengers Team and Steve she had given up her apartment and was now moving into the Tower and sharing a room with Steve.

She was currently unpacking the items she had decided to keep. She had put a lot of other things into storage for the future. She didn't know what that future held, but she hoped it would include Steve. She looked over at Steve when he asked if she needed all of this stuff and she gave him a little grin. "What? That picture of us? Yes, I want to keep that. This isn't a lot of stuff. You just always kept your room so spartan that it looks like a lot of stuff. And besides you love me, yes?" When he said of course he did she smiled and walked over to him. "So, that means that you love all of me. My strengths, my weaknesses, my quirks, and my stuff because it makes me...me." She kissed him and wrapped her arms around him and then pulled back slightly with a grin. "I love your stuff...as little of it as you have."

Now he was on the spot. He knew he had no real right to be angry with Serena. She was either into him or not. And obviously she was leading toward not. He was angry because he really liked her and felt if he told her how he felt that she would not return his feelings. That and there were things about her that irritated him. But those were little things.

“I’m..I’m just hangry” he said and stomped off toward the kitchen and away from Serena.

“A press conference and I’m a ‘pro for a day’ at a baseball camp down state,” he said sleepily. The Steam was really relaxing him. That and the feel of her next to him. “I noticed your room was pretty sparse, I could spruce it up a little?” He said but it came out as more of a question than an offer. He didn’t want to intrude on her space. Though he did have to be on the road often. It might work out nice for them.

Steve smiled when Kate wrapped her arms around him. “God I missed you,” he whispered as he moved his hands across her body. Being the leader, having to always be on his game was not easy. He was good at it but it was also nerve wracking at times. A failure, any failure could mean someone does not come back from a mission. It could be him, Kate, or anyone. He had decided that he would allow himself to accept Kate back into his life again. That worrying about what could happen was no way to live. They both deserved to be happy. What was he fighting for if he couldn’t be happy himself right?

Steve kissed her as he held her body against his. His strong hands felt her back and bottom and wondered how much work it would take to get her in the mood. He certainly was.

Serena was shocked and extremely confused. For a moment after Peter left she just stood there before she followed after him into the kitchen. "Peter, I don't understand what's happening right now. You're my best friend. Please just talk to me."

Natalya tensed up slightly at the mention of a press conference. She had a strong suspicion she knew what the press conference was going to be about and she had an even stronger feeling that it would be best if she wasn't there. "Uh...I think I'll let you handle that. I think it's better if I keep a lower profile for now." She thought about his request to spruce up her room. She didn't think it was that bad, but she wasn't in there very much. Her first instinct was to tell him no, but if they were going to be sharing that room then he had a right to spruce it up if he wanted. "Sure...as long as you don't go crazy with the baseball stuff. Can I ask you a question about the press conference? What exactly are you going to say about me...about us?"

Kate felt her heart begin to beat quicker in her chest as she felt Steve's strong hands on her body. She felt his body press up against her own and a wave of desire rippled through her. She kissed him back, only pulling back for a moment to look up into his eyes. "I've missed you too Steve."

She kissed him again and a few moments later they laid back on their bed...
