Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
OOC-the only thing I can think of right now is that the real king has a birth mark somewhere in his body that few people know about because it is always hidden and maybe that is a way they can tell which one is the real king

Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
ooc- How about setting Lorelei to find out more about the King so they actually HAVE something to aid them? She could continue to get close to the princess and ask questions to find out information
Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
OOC-yeah that's what I was thinking

ooc-im also considering more plot surprises to keep the excitement going. Also, if you have ideas just throw them in to. You can either share them or just write them in. I'm going to test her resolve with Trevare also and other temptations as well.
Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
Ok that sounds good. Yeah the whole Trevare thing might prove to be interesting

Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
We could, but then we'd have to decide what she is after? or we can do it this way: I have an idea of what it is that the princess knows about her father and Lorelei would have to figure out how to get that information without being to obvious?
Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
ooc;Im on 70 hour this week so I wont be able to hit alot of posts during the day...not on a regular basis anyway.
Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
ooc-Tonight though, I should be leaving for home soonish, (15 minute drive thank the light) I will be available to set up the next set of posts. Where I start it is up to you. We can push forward and assume that Lorelei and Armand had come to an understanding. : She would try to be worthy of his trust. the downside would be that she could not ask him to trust her or him believing that her word meant anything. Even though this is something new to her, by now, it might begin to bother her that she is lesser than Armand is in that she can rely on him, he can not rely on her. etc.

Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
13 hour weekdays (0.5hours unpaid for lunch is always a downer so I get 12.5hours a day for 13 hours paid) then 8 hours on saturday. So much bad stuff is happening at work and no time to fix it. Working for a large company as I am (Comau or Fiat/FCA) We rely on other companies to do their jobs well. When they do not, deadlines do not change and we are left having to fix it. Its not new, I've been doing mechanical Design for a long time. I am glad I am hourly.
I've interviewed at other places but this year I get 32 vacation days and 14 paid holiday days and very good med/dent/vis/401k/ltd/std bennies. Leaving is very very difficult but I think about it from time to time.

That sucks, but yeah I can see why it would be difficult to leave. While I'm not making as much money as I would like right now I am just starting out and am doing things to help move up. The place where I work also takes care of our insurance (both health and dental) and there is money each paycheck that goes into a retirement fund. Also if you work for them for a certain amount of time you get a pension.

Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
NICE! We used to get Pensions, but they stopped it. I get like $300 a month when I retire (yeah right!) but it will never go higher as they cut that out years ago. may i ask what you do? Most of my work is modeling in 3d on a PC using Solidworks
Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
OOC-I have a Master's degree in Library and Information Science and I'm working as a public librarian. Right now I'm working in our Collection Development department on our new classification scheme (doing away with Dewey) and we are in the middle of a massive renovation at our Main location. The rest of our locations are also under going renovations or getting entirely new buildings so it's kinda crazy right now. The library I work for is one of the top 15 libraries in the country which is pretty cool and is extremely innovative and always forward thinking. Our second floor is going to be our "Studio Services" department, which is going to feature Maker Spaces, which if you don't know what those are, are just areas for customers to do creative things. We have a 3D printer and a sound recording booth and a 75 seat auditorium for screening movies.

Daaaannnng, that sounds like a sweet Library! Well, you sound very enthusiastic soo I'm guessing you enjoy the work. So that is great K.
Re: Home Is Where The heart Is
Yeah, I love what I do. I have a BA in English Literature and honestly wasn't sure what I was going to do with that degree except teach (which I did not want to do!) and found out about the Master's program (which happened to be at the same university where I got my BA) and that was that. I actually specialized in Rare Books and Special collections, but found out rather quickly after graduating that I was not going to find a job in that field very easily. Thankfully, I was able to get my foot in the door at this library (which is rather difficult) and I've been there 3.5 years now.
