The USS Aries Stardate 2260.44

Jeni kept a straight face at what Captain Kirk told her, however, inside she was cringing. She knew that they couldn't remain onboard the Enterprise. Gene was a liability. If she got her the Engineering codes then she will have outlived her usefulness. Jeni planned to kill her...and Naoko as well. She hated his smugness. No, she couldn't let anything slip to any of the crew of the Enterprise. Thankfully, Jeni was quick on her feet and she looked at Captain Kirk. 

"Would it be possible for my crew to at least go back aboard to retrieve their belongings?"

Gene and Silas had moved from the shower back out into his bedroom. She was honestly starting to have a difficult time figuring out where her deceit ended and her real desires began. Silas was extremely attractive and the man seemed to know exactly where to touch her. They were both still wet from the shower as they laid back on the bed, but neither of them seemed to mind.

"Ofcourse, we won't get underway for a few hours yet," Kirk said and then they all stood up.

Silas touched her center and allowed two fingers to slip inside of her. He was good at sex and he sucked on her left breast as he teased her soft flesh to get her ready for him. He lifted back up to kiss her and found her lips wanting his. Her body's initial coolness from the dampness of her skin had ended and he shifted to come atop her. He felt her legs shift to allow him to do whatever he wanted and Silas assumed he wanted her to make love to her. And so he didn't hesitate and entered her. He felt her breath catch as he did so and he shifted down to kiss and lick at her neck as he felt her giving way to him. It took a little bit but and he felt her tense up at first but then her body relaxed and then the pleasure of him inside of her began.

Using Kal's magnalock penetrator, Fiona was able to let herself into Naoko's room.

"Thank you Captain Kirk," Jeni said and then stood up. She immediately left and went to sickbay to talk to Owen. They found a quiet place to talk and she looked at him. She explained to him the situation they were now in. "We absolutely cannot remain on the Enterprise. We need to get back to the Aries. I've asked Captain Kirk to allow the crew to go back aboard to retrieve their personal belongings. Once we have the Engineering Codes from Gene we won't need her anymore. She's a liability anyway...her and Naoko. I just don't want anyone remaining behind on the Enterprise who might slip up and say something they shouldn't."

It had been a while since Gene had been with a man, but Silas was gentle with her at first as her body got used to him. She moaned with pleasure and they kissed as they continued to make love. Gene usually took a while to orgasm...if it happened at all, but with Silas it happened much more easily...and it hit her hard. Her toes curled and she moaned loudly as her body trembled from the feeling of it. Silas lasted only a few moments longer before he collapsed atop her. 

Gene waited until he was asleep before she quietly got out of bed. She slipped her clothes back on and then walked out of the bedroom to where his PADD was laying. She wrote down all of the access codes and tucked away the piece of paper. She looked over at Silas' sleeping form and sighed softly to herself. She hated not only what she was doing to him, but herself as well for doing it. 

"I'm sorry Silas," she said quietly to herself before turning and leaving his quarters to go report to Jeni.

Fiona knew that Naoko wasn't in his room. She had seen him leave and she didn't see the PADD with him. Kal had given her a magnalock penetrator and she used it to get into Naoko's assigned quarters. The door closed behind her and she began to search for the PADD. She knew she needed to move quickly because she didn't know when Naoko might come back.

Naoko was headed back to the Aries, they still had alot to clean up so when the Enterprise crew began to poke around, they wouldn't find anything. His communicator went off though and he flipped it open. "Yes...Captain?" he said. He never liked her in that role. He thought that he'd change that when they were under way. When he heard what she said he signed. "Yes Captain," he said then turned back around.

Fiona saw the PADD but as she turned it on, she saw it was encrypted. How was she going to copy the data now? She pulled out the magnalock Penetrator and managed to get the backing off. It was a codebreaker right, well, if she could reprogram it to read the PADD interface, it should be able to break that code too. She set the penetrator into direct contact with the back of the PADD then turned it on. It began to de-encrypt the password to open the PADD but seconds rolled by. Sweat beaded on her forehead and she wondered where the hell Kal was.

Finally Elyse stepped onto the bridge. Once she sat down next to Kal he turned and looked at her. "I need to step out for a few minutes, will that be a problem?" He asked. When she didn't answer him at first, she appeared to be in deep thought about something he snapped his finger. Hello, Elyse?" He said and she flashed him a look and then made a snide remark about him always 'stepping out' for a few minutes. Kal thanked her anyway and then stepped out of the bridge.

Naoko's door swished open and he saw the back of someone. He didn't know who it was but he knew what they held. His PADD. "Did Jeni send you? Or...wait...I recognize you now," he said as his eyes shifted down then up again. He recalled that she had a nice ass but he didn't know her name. He couldn't understand why she of all people was here but he knew he had to end her and quickly.

Fiona had expected Kal to be there by now. He was supposed to be there to help her. She felt her anxiety rise as she waited for the penetrator to de-crypt the password on the PADD. It seemed to be taking forever, even though only seconds were going by. Fiona wasn’t certain what was going on, but she knew that the information on this PADD would expose the Aries crew to some evil scheme. She didn’t get a good feeling from the acting Captain...not at all.

Suddenly, she heard the door open. She thought perhaps it was Kal, but the voice she heard was not Kal’s. Her blood froze in her veins and her heart felt like it was going to burst from her chest. She slowly turned around and looked at Naoko.

“What are you hiding? I know you all have done something. It would be better if you just came clean about it.”

Naoko was afraid at first. Until he saw who it was. He recalled seeing her in the Officer's Mess. "Me? Nothing, that there is my get out of jail free card. Jeni and Owen are who you're after. The rest of us just went along or we were pushed out an airlock," He said. Kal tried not to look like he was in a hurry but he was. He stepped quickly but what they were doing could get them in alot of hot water if they were wrong. Maybe if they were right, too. And he felt strongly that Fiona was right.

Naoko frowned. Was she just trying to delay him? He wondered if she were recording him. And then he heard the maglock penetrator beep and say in a soft tone, 'Unlocked'. There was too much information on that PADD and he wasn't certain if he had scrubbed it sufficiently. He wasn't ready for them to have it. Adrenaline flowed into him and he just reacted. He moved on her.

A quick, hard jab in the stomach then he hit her with the side of his hand right on the side of the head where her forehead met her temples. He pushed her back so she was laying face up on his desk and as her legs reacted he slipped in between them and put his right hand around her throat.

Fiona saw Naoko move, but before she could scream he punched her in the stomach and she lost all of the air in her lungs. She gasped for breath, and tried to move but Naoko hit her in the side of the head. She felt dizzy and like her legs were going to give out from under her. She was then shoved back against the desk. Her eyes widened in terror as he put his hand around her throat and began to squeeze. She struggled and fought to get his hand free of her throat. She clawed at him, but nothing seemed to work. She was suddenly terrified that the last thing she was ever going to see was Naoko's determined face hovering over her as he killed her.

A sneerful grin formed on his face as he saw veins pop out near her temples. Kal didn't expect the door to just open but after what Fiona did with the magnalock penetrator it just did. The scene before him made his jaw drop and his eyes widen. At the same time he felt adrenaline surge into him and he surged forward. "You son of a!" He growled. As he did Naoko let go of Fiona and did some kind of armless handstand kick. He kicked Kal in the chest but Kal had expected some kind of resistance. He hadn't expected the quick kick though. He took it and then grabbed the wiry man. Or tried to. Naoko was fast, very fast and he punched Kal several times before Kal was able to even hit him once. But he did manage to hit him, hard on the side of the head.

Fiona’s only thought was of Kal and how she wouldn’t be able to see him again. The thought made her want to cry. But just then she heard his voice and looked over to see him lunge at Naoko. As Naoko’s hand let go of her neck she gasped for a breath. She could already feel bruises forming. She looked up and saw Kal and Naoko fighting. Fiona didn’t have a phaser with her. However, she grabbed a large, heavy tray and used it to hit Naoko in the head.

Fighting for Naoko was a natural thing and he could feel Fiona shift toward him. He was hit but he rolled into Kal. He pulled a small, hand knife and as they fell forward together he stabbed Kal in the chest. Kal grabbed hold of his wrist but Kaoko used his free hand to pummel Kal. When Fiona came in at him from behind he shifted and kicked her hard in the chest. She was flung back and crashed through Kal’s coffee table that was made of all glass. None of it seemed to have stabbed into her though but it definitely HURT!

Kal threw Naoko off of him and he crashed onto one of his sitting chairs but was up again quickly. Kal moved forward after him and they traded punches. Kal staggered him but Naoko shifted back a step and when Kal came in again Naoko was ready for him. He blocked and then struck with his knife. 3 quick jabs in Kal’s stomach and then he flicked the blood from it into Kal’s eyes. Kal stepped back but Naoko presser him and stabbed him several more times until Kal’s legs gave out. Kal groaned, stunned and tried to lift up his head as blood leaked out of multiple places.

Naoko turned and came toward Fiona. The wind was still knocked out of her but she felt something cold and sharp in her hand...A long, jagged piece of glass. Naoko went onto a knee before her.

Fiona was cut in multiple places from the glass of the coffee table, but nothing was life threatening. What was life threatening was Naoko and as he kneeled in front of her she knew she needed to do something. She felt a long, jagged piece of glass in her hand and she grabbed it. She then moved faster than she ever had before and she plunged it into Naoko's heart. He looked stunned as blood began to seep out of the corners of his mouth. He made a gurgling sound and then fell forward onto the floor. His eyes didn't close, but they glazed over with death. 

Fiona immediately jumped to her feet and rushed over to Kal. "Kal!" She was horrified by what she saw. Blood was everywhere and her hands shook as she pulled out her communicator. "This is Lieutenant Moran. I need a medical team to Kal's original room immediately!" She looked at Kal and tears came to her eyes as she placed a hand on his cheek. "You're going to be ok Kal...please just stay with me."

Sofia had asked Scotty to go with her to sickbay to see Liam. She wanted to introduce Liam to Scotty and she also wanted to check to see how he was doing. She felt bad for not having gone the night before, but she and Scotty had been so busy and by the time they had left the Aries, they were exhausted and had all but collapsed into bed.

Sofia looked around sickbay and didn't see Liam. She looked at Dr. McCoy. "Has Liam Harris already been released from sickbay?"

Kal knew he was in bad shape. He felt how weak the blood loss had made him. He knew Naoko had hit something vital. Kal’s face was already pale. And he felt his mind slipping as he went into shock. He heard Fiona’s voice but his vision was going dim.

“Fiona...Fiona...” Kal said as he felt her shift him. She felt her hands on him. “I want you to...keep looking up...at our stars,” Kal said. He felt himself slipping...and he suddenly didn’t feel any pain. “Fiona...I love...you,” Kal said as he felt a sudden calm come over him.

McCoy looked over at Sofia. He had other patients in the room and he moved closer to her and Scotty. He sighed. “I’m sorry, Liam died late yesterday,” He said plainly.

Sofia felt as if she had been kicked in the chest. She didn't even feel Scotty's hands as they came up to steady her and offer some comfort. Sofia felt tears fill her eyes, but before she could ask Dr. McCoy anymore questions, they suddenly received the call from Fiona and he and Diana rushed out of sickbay.

Diana could hear Fiona's wails of grief down the hall and Captain Kirk and Nathan also came running up. Diana could see even without touching Kal that he was dead. She then looked over and saw Naoko's dead body as well with a shard of glass sticking out from his chest. It was immediately evident that a fight had happened here. Fiona was covered in a mixture of her own blood and Kal's blood and she was sobbing over his body.

It took Kirk and Nathan to peel her off of Kal. Diana confirmed that both men were dead. Kirk was about to contact Jeni but Silas’s voice chimed in from Engineering.

“Captain, the plasma injectors have been removed.” He said. “How?” Scotty asked. “I don’t know!” Silas said. Spock and Scarlett put their hands up as several of the Aries crewmen took their sidearms. “The injectors have been installed Captain,” an Ensign said. Jeni smiled as she sat on her captains chair. “Fire phasers,” she said and the tactical officer fired on the Enterprise. “Get is out of here,” she snapped.

Kirk and everyone else felt the ship lurch when it was hit and the port warp nacelle exhibited an energy surge then went dark. “Bridge...What’s happening?!” Kirk asked. “The Aries has just fired on us Captain,” Elyse said.

Scarlett and Spock had both been extremely surprised and startled when they were suddenly taken captive by the Aries crew. However, they remained calm and did not try to intervene when their phasers were taken from them. They were both taken down to the brig, but one of the men decided to do an extra "search" on Scarlett for any weapons and began to fondle her and touch her inappropriately. Scarlett pulled back from the crewman and glared at him. 

"Don't touch me." 

The crewman glared angrily at Scarlett and slapped her across the face...hard. "You bitch!"

He then shoved her against the wall with her back to him and tried to pull up her skirt.

Diana did her best to comfort Fiona, but the woman was inconsolable. However, bigger concerns suddenly cropped up when the Aries launched an attack on the Enterprise. Elyse looked over at Kirk as he came onto the bridge and she moved from the Captain's chair. "Spock and Scarlett are still aboard the Aries, Captain."

Spock did not remain complacent and cooperative when the crewman became inappropriate with Scarlett. He moved and grabbed him on the shoulder and pinched him. The man fell to the deck like a sack of potatoes. The other man he hit him so hard he was flung 6 feet away. "None of you will touch my wife! Is that clear?" Spock said as they pointed phasers at him. Spock did not look afraid, he looked completely calm as he stared them down. They did not approach them again.

Scotty and Sofia ran to Engineering. Silas was there with Keenser and the others. Silas came up to them. "I think they took the injectors Scotty. We're dead in the water. We have 2 so we'll need to fabricate one more before we can get moving again. We'll work on the other 2 after we get moving," he said. "But...we suffered a power cascade in the port warp nacelle. They will only be able to travel at warp 5.5 so if we can repair the damage and make the injectors, we should be back in business," He said.

After Scotty and Sofia gave their damage report Kirk rubbed his forehead. McCoy came onto the bridge and his eyes flashed at Elyse as he gestured to Kirk to speak to him in his ready room. Kirk wanted ELyse in the meeting and so he gestured for her to join them. He motioned for Amara to come too. When Elyse stood she would notice Kal's seat was still empty as well as Fiona's.

Scarlett's cheek was red from where the crewman had slapped her. She was trembling from what had nearly happened to her, but otherwise she was alright. She stood near her husband...her mate and they were moved into a cell together. She saw Spock look at her with a concerned look in his eyes and as his fingers brushed across her red cheek she looked into his eyes.

"I'm alright."

Sofia was baffled by how any of this could have happened. "I just don't understand. They would need our Engineering Codes in order to do any of this. How in the hell did they get those?"

Elyse had noticed that neither Kal nor Fiona had come to the bridge, but she thought that perhaps Captain Kirk had them performing other tasks. She looked over at Leonard as he stepped onto the bridge and motioned to Kirk. When Kirk then motioned at her, she stood up and followed the two men to the ready room. Her husband being present worried her.

"Is everything alright?"

Kirk turned and locked the door to the ready room after Amara came in. Kirk looked at McCoy and McCoy looked back at Kirk. They both knew Kal and Elyse were close. They had had their ups and downs but that had only made them that much closer. Kirk decided that the best way was to just rip the bandaid off.

"Kal...is dead," Kirk said. "One of Captain Tetniar's Officers...Commander Tenaka murdered him nd almost murdered Fiona but she was able to kill him instead. She's in sickbay," Kirk said quickly.

"I'm sorry, I know you two were close," Kirk said.

Spock sat next to Scarlett. There was a forcefield that held them inside the small cell and SPock held Scarlett's hand. "I would not allowed them to hurt you Scarlett. I want you to know that," Spock said as he looked at her.

Silas and others started on the warp core while Sofia and Keenser worked on fabricating the new injectors. "You seem upset, did something happen?" Keenser asked. Normally he never said much but he liked Sofia like she was his little sister and knowing she was upset troubled him.

McCoy had Naoko's PADD and he set it on the table in preparation for what Elyse was going to do or how she will react.

Elyse just stood there for quite a while not saying anything. She hadn't had much sleep in the past few days and was still grieving the loss of her brother. To now lose her best friend was almost too much for her heart to take in such a short span of time. Amara looked at her friend with a concerned expression when Elyse didn't react. The woman was clearly in shock. 

"Elyse?"

Elyse slowly looked over at them, but she then looked at the PADD Leonard had brought in. "What's on the PADD?"

Scarlett looked over at Spock and she nodded. "I know Spock...I know." She sighed and then looked around them. They were unarmed and now locked in a cell with a forcefield that held them there. They had no way of escaping the cell and if the Aries was attacking the Enterprise and the Enterprise couldn't remove them before possibly destroying the Aries, then it was extremely possible that they were going to die. She was quiet for a long while before finally speaking.

"I still remember the first time you read one of my papers as my mentor. I was so nervous. To be honest, while I was attracted to you, I was also intimated by you and I know that was one of the reasons I was put with you. I wanted to...impress you with my report and so I tried to be someone I wasn't and you called me out on it. Of all the things I've ever learned, that lesson...of never being anyone but myself, was probably the most important."

Sofia looked over at Keenser. She had a bit of grease on her face and her hands were dirty. She sighed a little. "Liam Harris, the Chief Engineer on the Aries, died from his injuries. He and I knew each other back at the Academy."
