Finally the Enterprise came out of Warp near the Medical frigate. It wasn't on fire but there was definitely battle damage. "Captain, I'm detecting life signs," Spock said. Kirk punched in Sickbay. "Bones, you're about to receive alot of wounded," he said. "We'll be ready," McCoy said.

"Transporter room, a medical team is headed over to you, once they arrive begin, transporting the wounded. We won't leave anyone behind. Make certain everyone gets seen to," Kirk said and then he contacted engineering. "Scotty, we need to send an Engineering team over to the Frigate to see if there's anything we can do," he said. "be ready in 10 minutes," he said.

Spock stood as Kirk began to assemble an away team. "Captain, if the Klingons are nearby, it makes sense that you would remain on the Enterprise," he reasoned. Kirk thought about that a moment. "Ok, you lead the team," he said and looked around the bridge. "Scotty's already enroute but we need those logs. Take Lt. Fox and a security detail with you," He said. "yes Captain...Lieutenant?" Spock said as he began to move toward the turbolift.

Kaia stood when she was assigned to the away team in order to retrieve the logs. She did glance at Kirk this time and she actually saw him glance back at her. As she was starting to move towards the turbolift, Elyse stopped her for a moment and whispered to her to be careful. Kaia nodded and gave her a little smile before joining Spock in the turbolift. They headed to the Transporter room and she wasn't surprised to see Nathan there. They each took a Phaser just in case it was needed. Kaia moved up to the transporter and stood on one of the spots and waited to be beamed over to the Frigate.

They materialized right onto the bridge. There was debris everywhere. Parts of the ceiling had fallen down and large pieces of support beams, cables and the ceiling were down here and there around the bridge. Spock knelt with his tricorder in his hand to check the pulse of a downed crewman. He looked up at Kaia and shook his head. There were a few moans from behind the debris but they all heard the sounds of transporter signals and the moans were no longer present. They were beaming off the injured, that was good.

“Lieutenant,” Spock said and gestured to a panel on the bridge. The air smelled like smoke and burned rubber and chemicals. It burned her throat and made her cough as she tried to locate the communications array. It wasn’t where she was and she looked around to other panels until she found it. There was no power to the panel.

They knew Scotty had transported to the engine room. Lt. Quinn had a tricorder also and was scanning the area looking for the possibility that a Klingon was still on board. There was a dead Officer behind Kaia. He had multiple stab wounds on him. They all know Klingons enjoyed beaming over to an enemy ship and engaging in hand to hand. His wounds were brutal and there was a pool of blood underneath him.

Kaia's senses were on high alert as they beamed onto the bridge of the Frigate...or what was left of it. There was debris and fallen cables everywhere and the air smelled like smoke and burned rubber and chemicals that burned her throat. She began to look for the Communications station and it took her a few moments before she finally located it. Kaia was aware of the dead officer behind her. She tried not to look at the pool of blood he was laying in. She pulled out her pocket communicator.

"Scotty, is there anyway to get power to the communications panel on the bridge?"

As Scotty was walking her through how to get power to the panel she saw Spock examining the support structures. There were just a couple of them down at odd angles as they pitched onto the deck plating. Now that she looked at it, it wasn't like the ceiling would cave in. A Torpedo must have hit the hull nearby. Scotty instructed her to get down and remove the access panel in front of the station. Inside there were power cables and data chips. They'd normally glow green but they were obviously unpowered right then. He told her to uncouple the power cable from that panel to the adjacent one and recouple the cabling. Engineering and repair was a class she had taken at the academy but her discipline only forced her to take the one and she didn't take any others. She could assist an Engineer but she could not directly troubleshoot and fix much besides her own station. That and this ship was a good deal older than what she was used to seeing. Once she couple the cables together a dim, green light began to glow inside the panel. It blinked a few times like it wasn't going to stay on long and then the panel came to life. It hummed and the data chips took on a brighter, green color. When she straightened, the panel was alive with light.

From then on her intuition and training kicked in and she quickly bypassed the ships security protocols to access the logs. She found a cluster of logs around the time they had sent their distress signal and she transmitted them to the Enterprise where she'd pull them up. As she did that she was able to view them. Ecternal Cameras picked up one ship and it resembled a Romulan ship she knew as, 'Bird of Prey'. It had obvious differences and, from her Romulan Tal Shiar training, she knew that the Klingons had reverse engineered Romulan ship designs and also their cloaking devices. It was a Klingon ship alriught and there were other explosions that confirmed that there had to of been more than one ship. There were other logs too, internal ones where she saw Klingons murdering unarmed people. Officers and Crew with some kind of large, melee weapon. Several Klingons had beamed aboard it seemed and they employed different weapons but the result was the same. Some of the Klingons stabbed patients still in sickbay beds. A nurse screamed as she was nearly cut in half by a large, curved blade.

While Kaia had had a little Engineering training at the Academy, it was not her primary area of study and though she knew enough under normal circumstances to fix a Communications panel, these were not normal circumstances. However, the one class she did take had given her enough knowledge to be able to do exactly what Scotty told her to do and quickly. Once the data chips began to glow a bright green color, she stood up and began to bypass the ships security protocols to access the logs. She quickly found the logs she was looking for and she began to transmit them to the Enterprise. However, as she was transmitting them she was able to view them. She sensed Spock and Nathan come up to stand behind her and together they watched as Klingons murdered innocent people. Kaia recognized the ship they were using as a Bird of Prey, a Romulan ship, that they had reversed engineered. Kaia felt like her gut was being wrenched. Was she doing the right thing by helping the Romulans? This is what they were going to do to the people she worked with...the people she had started to care about. But Starfleet had abandoned her when she needed them the most. No one had come for her.

As the last of the logs was transmitted she pulled out her pocket communicator. "Captain, all appropriate logs have been transmitted to the Enterprise."

As the away teams were working on the Medical Frigate a science officer, Engisn Laishon turned from her station to face the Captain. "Sir, I'm detecting an odd spacial displacement nearby. It's never in the same place twice and I think there's more than one. I have never seen anything like it," she said. Natalie was a buxom blonde with shoulder length curly hair and hazel eyes. She was handsome more than beautiful and bordered on curvy for her short stature. She idolized Spock, everyone in the science department did but, like Kaia, was fairly new on the Enterprise. She had never been in a battle and didn't know what a cloaking device did to a ship.

"Well that's certainly odd, can you track it?" Kirk asked. "I've already tried sir...it's intermittent and our sensors only catch 'glimpses' of the distortion," she said.

----------------

"Mr. Scott, whats the prognosis?" Spock asked. "I think I can get the warp drive working but I can't say for how long. The Warp Nacelle is damaged but appears to be holding together. I should have partial main power restored soon sir," Scotty said. An amazing feat considering all the damage. "How much longer Lieutenant?" Spock asked Kaia.

---------------

Elyse was fed the telemetry from the science officer. Both her and Sulu were. Uhura was trying to listen to see if there was anything her ears could glean from the ships sensors. "Well this is damn peculiar," Kirk said as he rubbed his chin. It was then that Elyse saw a blip on her screen. A ship was forming as out of thin air. It was coming toward them from the right side. And then another blip appeared, coming toward them from aft.

Kaia had just finished transmitting the last of the logs when she heard Spock's question. She stood and looked at him. "All logs have been transmitted to the Enterprise. Have all the injured been transported?"

-----------------------------------------------------

Elyse began to examine the telemetry that Engisn Laishon fed over to her station. However, just then she spotted a blip...no, two on her screen. One was coming from the right and another from the aft. She began to realize what was going on.

"Captain! We have two enemy ships approaching from the starboard and the aft. They have cloaking capabilities."

"SHIELDS!!!" Kirk barked as the ships opened up on them with their disruptor cannons. The ship on their port side had fired first and their cannons had gotten in under the shields as they went up. Laishons station panel exploded and she was sent flying backward just behind Elyse. The aft ship[s cannon fire hit their shields. "Evasive pattern Beta 2! Charge all weapons!" He commanded. No one could spare a moment to check on the Ensign as Sulu began to perform the maneuver and Elyse tried to get a target lock on one of the ships. Just as her weapons were charge though the ships had cloaked and her target locks died on her screen.

--------------------

"Sir, that sounded like Disruptor fire," Nathan said in obvious alarm. Spock took out his communicator. "Captain, is everything...Spock, we're under attack by 2 birds of prey. Just sit tight and try to get that ship out of here!" Kirk said. "Mr. Scott, what is your status?" He asked. "We've restored the impulse engines, I can have auxiliary power in a few minutes," he said. "The Enterprise is under attack Mr. Scott, we may not have a few minutes, Spock out," Spock said. "Lt. Quinn, please take tactical. Lt. Fox, have you ever piloted a starship?" Spock asked. Kaia had...but, not at the Academy. She had learned that from her Tal Shiar training. All Tal Shiar agents were put through emergency training where they had a brief class on all the different ship stations incase she had to escape in a ship. She knew how to pilot a ship in a basic way.

Elyse was already putting up the shields before the Captain even gave the order. Just as the shields started to come up both ships opened fire on them with disruptor canons. The shields were not fully up when the ship on their starboard side fired and they were hit. Alarms started going off on the bridge and Elyse looked over to see that Ensign Laishon's panel had exploded and she was laying injured on the ground. She couldn't do anything to help her at the moment and her fingers flew over the keys on her panel to charge all weapons. She was trying to get a target lock on one of the ships when suddenly the ships cloaked and the target locks disappeared on her screen.

"They're gone Captain. They've engaged cloaking. Shields are still up."

---------------------------------------

Kaia suddenly heard something and she felt her heart drop in her chest when Kirk confirmed that the Enterprise was under attack by 2 Birds of Prey. She looked over at Spock when he asked her if she had ever piloted a Starship before. The truth was that she had, but not at the Academy. However, she couldn't exactly reveal that she had been trained by the Tal Shiar.

"Yes," was all she said as she moved to the pilot's seat. However, they could not move until they had auxiliary power. Kaia took a moment to look over the panel though. She closed her eyes for a moment as she hoped that Kirk and Elyse were alright.

Scotty and his team were working furiously to jury rig components scabbed from others. They had tools and their creativity but not much other then that. Spock was working on the sensors at the science station, trying to get them to work properly.

--------------------

The Enterprise was moving now and their shields and weapons were ready. The ship had hit them with 1 of their 2 cannons. They had gone for a bridge hit and only luck had stopped them from getting in a good hit to their bridge. Elyse saw the blips again. One on the left side and one from behind again. She had tried to lock on too early and the targeting computer took precious moments to recycle before she could make another attempt. Sulu pitched the ship in a roll as he moved and as their ships fired, one canon each hit their shields. Part of the Disruptor energy though impacted against the hull and did light damage to the starboard cargo bay. Just as she got a lock the ships had disappeared again.

"Elyse why aren't we firing!?" Kirk snapped annoyedly. "Keep chainging our heading Sulu, Don't let them get another shot at our bridge," Kirk said. "Evasive pattern Echo 4," Kirk commanded. "I, sir," Sulu said.

-------------------

"Ju'chok!" K'lod said angrily. He was angry with his gunner for missing them...again! "Ko'lu, mesh! Ka'tok meh!" He barked. "Kej'meh!" His gunner responded.

-------------------

Suddenly Kaia saw the impulse controls flicker on as well as the weapons. The targeting computer was history but she knew Nathan's Tactical panel had to have been lit up as well. From how he began to fiddle with them, she knew that they were. The Medical Frigate had light weapons but she knew how those cloaking devices worked. The ships had no shields when they were cloaked and though they could bring them up when they uncloak, the standard procedure was to charge weapons instead and dump power into them to fire to surprise the enemy ships. That meant that even light phasers could do damage.

The Medical Frigate began to move and the hull groaned when she went to one half impulse. The frigate was a good deal smaller than the Enterprise and more maneuverable. Spock had gotten the sensors working it seemed and he was trying to find where the Enterprise was.

Elyse saw the blips come up on her computer again. This time from the port and the aft. However, she cursed herself when she tried to get a target lock too early on them and the targeting computer had to recycle. The Enterprise shook as they were hit again. Just as she finally got a lock on them they disappeared again. Elyse was angry at herself for making a stupid mistake. She couldn't let it happen again.

"I tried to get a lock too early," she admitted. Elyse was not one to pass her mistakes on to anyone else. She had been taught by her father to always admit them. What had happened was no one's fault but her own. "It won't happen again Captain."

----------------------------------------

Finally, the impulse controls began to flicker as auxiliary power was restored. Because this was a medical Frigate she knew that they only had light weapons. However, she knew that when the Birds of Prey were cloaked they had no shields and when they uncloaked the standard procedure was to charge the weapons first. She began to move the Frigate using one half impulse. Thankfully, the ship was much smaller than the Enterprise and therefore easier to maneuver.

Kaia's first instinct was to tell Quinn and Kirk what she knew about these ships. However, she knew that she would be questioned as to how she knew that information. But she decided that she would deal with that later. Time was on the line.

She hailed the Enterprise and a second later she saw the bridge of the Enterprise on her screen. "Captain, the Birds of Prey are defenseless when they are cloaked. They cannot use their shields then. When they uncloak the standard procedure is that they charge weapons instead of putting up their shields because otherwise that would draw too much power. Get a target lock on them before they cloak and then fire immediately after."

Kirk was surprised to hear Kaia's voice. And everyone listened to what she said. There was some hesitation initially, how did a Communications officers know this? But, those thoughts faded as the ships began to uncloak once more. Sulu began to roll the ship again to evade as Elyse waited for the ships to fully materialize. She was able to get a target lock on the aft ship and she fired their aft torpedoes at them just as both ships fired at them again. One Torpedo hit the Klingon ship, while the other torpedo was destroyed by a lucky disruptor hit. The other canon missed. The other Klingon ship came from below them and both disruptors hit their shields. Two crewmen were thrown back when an energy conduit burst in a hall corridor on the Enterprise.

Elyse didn't now why only one Torpedo hit and she assumed she had missed with one...somehow. Still, their attacks were just too slow. "Elyse, target manually!" Kirk said. "Uhura Damage report!" Kirk said. "Coming sir!" she said as she tried to find out what happened.

---------------

Spock, Nathan and Elyse were in the Medical Frigate. The ship groaned when Kaia maxed out the impulse speed. IT was pegged at just half impulse, it would not go any faster. "Kaia, I'm curious as to how you know so much about the cloaking devices. But I've analized their attack. If we were to follow the Enterprise, we might be able to target the ship that keeps going at them from aft," Spock said.

"Those Klingon ships don't have much armor in their rear. It's all up front," Nathan said. "Just get me close Kaia and I'll try to manually target the ship...charging phasers," Nathan said.

Kaia maxed out the impulse speed of the Medical Frigate. It was going very slow, but they were at least moving. She glanced over at Spock when he questioned her about her knowledge of the cloaking devices of the Birds of Prey, but she did not respond. Thankfully, Spock had started talking about following the Enterprise and targeting the ship that kept going after them from the aft. It was a good plan and Kaia looked over at Nathan and nodded when he said he could manually target them. She began to move the Frigate into position. She just hoped they would be able to make this work in time.

Kaia had coordinated with Sulu as to which direction he would turn to evade. The Enterprise was ahead of them and moving away slightly do to their higher speed. Elyse’s hand hovered over the manual targeting computer, ready to move the launcher. The Enterprise shields were holding but how many more shots could they sustain before someone got lucky.

Nathan charged the phaser turrets. Type 3s weren't powerful but they could take out a system. He was going to try for their engines. As everyone waited with baited breath, Elyse announced the ships. Blips appeared on her target scanner and she used her fingers to adjust the torpedo launcher. Sulu evaded and she had to adjust to account for the change in attitude to the Klingon ship. She decided on the aft ship since she knew it would be there. She fired 2 torpedoes.

Just as her torpedoes struck the ship, Nathan hit the ship with both canons. Kaia had to turn the frigate hard to avoid running into the Klingon ship as it exploded into a giant fireball. The other Klingon ship fired again but its canons only grazed their shields that time. It cloaked quickly and everyone on the ENterprise waited with baited breath for another attack.

--------------------

“Klesh’meh, Rok’Mog Enterprise! Rok’mog!!!” K’alod yelled as he raised his fist, They had killed his brother. Now he was the sole heir to his house. He had no choice but to retreat...for now. But he would be back! Vengeance would be his, one day! He vowed.

-------------------

Nathan sighed in relief. “Good shooting Elyse,” Kirk said. Several minutes went by...more minutes and still nothing.

“Spock, Scott here, Warp power has been restored,” he said. “Environmental systems are back online,” he said. “Excellent Mr. Scott,” Spock said. Kirk had them beam back and he put beta shift to pilot the Frigate toward the Starbase. A Tug was dispatched to get the Frigate but Kirk was not comfortable leaving it without protection.

“Time to intercept, 8 hours sir,” Spock said from his station. Now that the adrenaline had warn off, Kirk was somewhat tired. There was still something that was bothering him though...Kaia. “Kaia, I’d like to see you in my ready room,” Kirk said. “Spock, you have the con,” he said as he headed toward the doors. They swished open and he stopped and turned around to face the doors. When she came in the doors closed behind her. “Computer, seal the room,” Kirk said and the doors chimed.

“Ok, you can start by telling me how you know all about Those Klingon ships. I’m not even privy to some of that information. How did you know how their cloaking devices worked?” Kirk asked in a very accusational tone. He was upset and more worried than angry. He didn’t know how long he could keep this up with Kaia. He was in love with her and every moment he spent feeling apart from her was agony. He wanted to be with her. To feel her arms around him and her lips on his. He had to do his job and she hers, was there a way they could, be together and also do their jobs?

Kaia had been expecting Kirk's question and had prepared a lie already. She found that the thought of lying to him made her gut feel like it was twisting in knots. She felt as if she was being pulled in two different directions and she no longer knew what was good and what was bad. But she did know she was in love with James T. Kirk. There was no denying that anymore. The thought of something happening to the Enterprise and he being hurt or killed had been what had driven her to reveal the information that she did. She sighed a little and looked at him.

"Back at the Academy I was doing more advanced research on the Klingons for a paper I was writing. I came across a document buried in the archive that talked about the cloaking technology Klingons use. I assume it was supposed to be classified, but I had been able to pull it up. It was fascinating information and I thought perhaps it might come in handy one day so I read it."

Kirk was barely listening. There was something else on his mind. He had sent her over to the Frigate. All of them, and put them in peril. It was their job and his. One more ship could be a huge difference to someone. Maybe to the whole of starfleet. He had risked his people to save it and the wounded. He had risked Kaia even though he loved her. "Well, now that that's out of the way," he said and then took her into his arms. He felt her trying to back up but after a few steps there was a wall behind her. His lips were on hers and he had fought this as long as he could. He felt her pull back to look into his eyes.

"I can't fight it any more Kaia...I'm in love with you," he said as his eyes softened. His heart wanted to beat out of his chest and his body yearned for hers. "i want you, I want you now!" He said as his lips took hers again.

Kaia breathed a small sigh of relief when Kirk seemed to buy her story. It certainly seemed very plausible and believable. She expected him to dismiss her, but instead he suddenly moved towards her and took her into his arms. She was surprised and tried to pull back a little, but they kept stepping back until her back was up against the wall. She felt his lips upon her own and she kissed him back for a moment before she pulled back to look into his eyes. She wanted to be sure this was what he wanted. She needed him.

"I'm in love with you too James," she told him, and it was the truth. She felt him kiss her again and she kissed him back. Things started to escalate, but Kaia remembered where they were and wasn't certain this was the best place to be doing this. She managed to pull back a little. "Not here. Can we go to your quarters?"

Kirk sighed. "Meet me there after your shift ends," he said. He would have taken her right there though. His body wanted hers...badly. "Can you manage a disgruntled look?" He asked. he kissed her a while longer before he let her go. Sulu looked up as a very angry looking Kaia Fox came out of the ready room. Kirk had remained though and Spock had the con. Spock raised an eyebrow when he saw her take her station. obviously whatever the Captain said, it made her angry. That confused Spock because he thought that she attributed herself well. Everyone on the away teams had.

"Bridge, this is sickbay. Ensign Laishon...is dead," McCoy said sadly. Elyse would know his voice was ready to break. Obviously her death had really upset him. He and his staff had done everything they could to keep her alive but her body had taken too much damage. In the end, her heart just would not keep beating. After the 4th time resuscitating her, he called it and marked the time of her death. Spock's face took on a serious cast to it and he silently closed his eyes. The silence lasted for several moments and then everyone got back to doing their jobs.

Kaia had wanted him right then and there as well, but she knew that there were too many people nearby. They needed to keep this just between them. They kissed for a little while longer and Kaia loved the way his lips felt against her own. Finally though, they pulled back and each took a moment to collect themselves. Her shift would be over in a few hours and then they could finally be together.

Her face had an angry look to it as she left the Ready Room. She walked back over to her station and didn't say anything to anyone. Elyse looked over at her worryingly. However, just then McCoy came on and informed the bridge that Ensign Laishon was dead. Elyse heard the tone of his voice and knew that he was extremely upset over what had happened. She couldn't go speak to him now, but she decided she would speak to him later. However, there was someone she did want to speak to. The Captain was still in the Ready Room. She asked for permission to join him and when he did she closed the door behind her.

"Captain, I would like to apologize for what happened today. I made a mistake that could have cost lives. I take full responsibility for my actions and will accept any reprimand you choose to give me."

Kirk was surprised by Elyse's candor. He respected her taking responsibility but there was no reprimand to give. Not in this. "Everyone tried their hardest Elyse, but none of us are perfect. You did the best you could under the circumstances. we've engaged in combat with cloaked vessels and lived to tell about it. Now we know how to deal with them the next time we have to," Kirk said.

"You did well Elyse, thats all you should be taking from this," Kirk said with a nod. "Was there anything else?" he asked her.

Elyse was actually relieved by what Captain Kirk said. She wanted to make a good impression upon him and she wanted him to know that she could do this job and do it well. "No, Sir. I promise I won't make the same mistake twice."

------------------------------------------------

A few hours later Kaia was relieved of duty. She quickly went back to her quarters to get changed into some civilian clothes. She knew James would be expecting her and she couldn't help but smile as she thought about what was to come. She knew she was getting in deep though. How would she be able to continue to do what the Romulans needed her to do when she was in love with James?

She headed to his quarters. She glanced around the hallway before she opened his door and stepped in and closed and locked it behind her. She smiled when she saw him. When he moved over to her, she tipped her head back and accepted his kiss and kissed him back. Everything about being with him just felt...right.

Kirk smiled when he heard Kaia come in. He had set his door so her biometer would activate it and she could come right in. He saw her lock it behind her. And he also saw the desire for him in her eyes. His eyes scanned over her body. her face, her perfect breasts, her hips. Kirk was in tan civilian denim pants and a blue, short-sleeved shirt. He came up to her as she began to cross the room. He didn't speak, he didn't need to and he saw her tip her head back like she always used to do as she accepted his lips onto hers. And that was the end of rational thought.

They made passionate love to one another in his bed and it was wonderful. The waiting, the amount of time spent apart, had only made this moment that much sweeter. He remembered her body and what she liked just as she remembered his. He knew exactly how to make her orgasm just as she knew in what position he liked her to be in when he orgasmed. Kirk was a very generous lover and their bodies were covered in a sheen of glistening sweat as they collapsed back onto his sheets. They had thrown of the covers and the sheet beneath them was damp. They didn't care though and he pulled her to him as she laid against him and slid her leg over his. They were both breathing hard. Kirk recalled her saying that he was the only one she had ever been with that made her lose her breath like this. that and her heart was beating a thousand times a minute it seemed. They just 'fit' together and neither of them seemed to be able to get close enough to the other for their liking.

"Well that was...incredible," Kirk said. "Where did you learn to..." He began but he felt her put a finger over his mouth. Kirk tended to get chatty after sex and obviously she just wanted to feel him and listen to his heart beat. Kirk kept her pressed against him and took in her scent. Her scent was all over him now. He had missed that...missed her.

Kaia had been with several men, but none of them made her feel the way James did. James was a confident man, but also a generous lover. He gave as much as he took and everything about them just seemed to fit together perfectly. They had not been together in two years, but they still remembered everything about what the other liked and needed. Kirk's bed at the Academy had been small, but they had made it work. Now, as the Captain of the Enterprise he had the best room on board, including a big, comfortable bed and they certainly made use of all that space.

When they both finally couldn't take anyone, they collapsed in each other's arms. Kaia was trying to catch her breath and she felt as if her heart was going to beat out of her chest. She grinned a little when James started to speak and she put a finger over his mouth. He kissed it  and smiled and then they settled down together to just savor the moment.

After a while, Kirk got up and got them each something to drink. Kaia had moved under the sheet and had it pulled up around her body. "So...we keep this just between us?"

Kirk quirked an eyebrow as he thought about what 'this' was. How would it work? "So what is 'this?" he asked. "We can't be seen together and we both have jobs to do. I can't show you favortism or keep you out of harms way though I will certainly want to. And I can't go to your quarters," he said as he brought her a cold drink. He had put on some white boxer shorts and got back into the bed beside her. She covered herself in his sheets but he could still see the outlines of her breasts. Her hair was somewhat messy but she still looked beautiful.

"I think we have to keep this between us," Kirk said. "Starfleet frowns on relationships between a Captain and a subordinate," Kirk said. That certainly didn't carry over to what just happened in this bed though. They were equals during sex and maybe even she had the edge on who did what for whom.
