Making It Official

Rogue sighed and just took a moment to let this all sink in. Gambit was getting married...to Serena. She ran a hand through her hair and stepped away from him for a moment. She walked over to her bedroom window and looked out. The clouds were threatening snow, but the birds were still singing. She finally turned and looked at him. "You're not going to lose our friendship. I mean I gotta stay in your life. Who the hell else is going to keep you in line?""

“Thank you Rogue, I owe you big for this,” he said. Then extended his arms out for her. “I love you Rogue, that will never change,” Gambit said.

Rogue slowly walked over and into Gambit's arms. She laid her head against his chest as he wrapped his arms around her. "I love you too...and yes, you do owe me big for this...really big. You're happy though and that's what matters." She pulled back and then sat down on her bed. "So, have you two set a date yet?"

“No, we haven’t even picked out a ring. We wanted you learn of it first. And so you do,” Gambit said. “Serena’s life is in danger. Hydra wants her dead. Tomorrow could be her last day alive. I did not want to wait. I do not want to wait..so perhaps I will talk to her about having it soon,” he said. “You are invited Ofcourse,” he said.

Rogue nodded a little. She could understand why they would want to not wait. It would be too cold to hold the ceremony outside, but they could do it indoors. "We could decorate the mansion interior and you could have the ceremony here. I would be happy to help."
