To Catch A Snake

It had been a couple of years but Steve remembered Kate’s outfit and but he didn’t recall how ‘good’ she looked in it. WIth her hair longer she had to tie it back but he had missed her fighting alongside him. And they missed her tactical expertise. Steve was a good leader but he couldn’t see everything and she had always been there to give him options he did not always see.

“It seems to still fit you,” he said though he hadn’t realized that what he said could be taken 2 ways and one of them wasn’t in a good way. “You do still remember how to fly a jet?” he asked though this time he was trying to joke with her and lift the air of awkwardness around them. He grinned and raised up his hands as if defending himself when her cool eyes looked at him.

Tony didn’t say anything at first and then he lifted up his phone, expanded it and began typing on it. Within less than 30 seconds he knew what hotel and which room they were staying in. “We can go pick them up but I think we can deal without them this time. “I don’t like her spending so much time with him but what can we really do about it? Send him away?” He asked.

Tony did not like Gambit sleeping with his daughter at all but just as Serena was like her mother, he knew full well she was like him as well. Telling her who she can and can not associate with is a sure fire way for her to buck against them. She was a grown woman...physically but there were aspects of her that were not matured yet. A sticky situation indeed.

Logan had to rush to his room, take a sink bath and then get dressed as fast as he could. He was moving on autopilot because of what had just happened between Natalya and himself. An impossible relationship made possible! He never saw it coming though he had wanted it to happen. Now that it did they had alot more to talk about. That would have to wait though until after this mission. Would they sleep in the same room? Would they hide their relationship? More to talk about than he could even consider right then. He paused dressing when he realized he was trying to put the wrong boot on the wrong foot. Where was his wits? Still making love to Natalya, that’s where! He grunted and stood up finally ready to go.

Pharaoh was ready and he stood near Steve and looked at Natalya and Logan as they hurried up to them. He looked at Kate and then Steve. Then Logan and then Natalya. He looked over at Tony and Isabella who appeared to be in a serious conversation about...something. “Where is Serena and Gambit?” He asked bot none of the four near him appeared to answer. Logan was looking at Natalya who was looking at him. Steve was looking at Kate who was looking back at him. ‘Oh, well, this is going to be a gem of a day’. He thought sarcastically.

After making love in the hot tub Gambit dried Serena off. He was squatting beside her and toweling off her nice, silky legs by the bed. She heard her wrist communicator beep and when she checked it she saw that she had missed 4 texts and 2 voice messages. The texts though spoke volumes about how angry her mother was about her not letting anyone know where they were going and not being available for the muster. Her tone promised more words when her mother could get her hands on her.

“Uh...is...everything alright?” Gambit asked. He saw her face and knew whatever it was, it wasn't good.

Just as much as Steve had missed fighting along side Kate, she had missed fighting along side him. They had made a great team. They worked naturally well together and balanced each other out. They had trained together and worked out together and knew each other's strengths and weaknesses like no other. They also trusted one another fully. It had been nice having someone she could rely on that much. She didn't have that within SHIELD. Yes, she worked both individually and as apart of a larger team at SHIELD, but the feeling wasn't the same. There always seemed to be this feeling of untrustworthiness among the team members and most of the time people continued to act individually instead of as a team. When Steve and Kate had fought together they had worked almost as one unit and they could anticipate what each of them was going to do next. She didn't just miss him as her lover and best friend...but also as her partner.

She looked over at Steve and raised an eyebrow ever so slightly when he commented that her suit still seemed to fit. A woman could take that one of two ways, but she knew Steve well enough to know that his intentions were good in what he had said. She rolled her eyes and did smile though when he joked about her still being able to fly the jet. "Why yes...I believe I still can." Her eyes met his for a moment and she really wanted to say something, but she remained silent.

Natalya looked over at Logan as he came in. It took a lot of effort for her to not throw her arms around him and kiss him. They needed to keep their wits about them though, though it was extremely difficult after what had just passed between them.

Serena had been rather enjoying the morning she was having with Gambit. They had just made love again and they were planning to order some more room service for breakfast when suddenly she heard her wrist communicator go off. She had taken it off last night and she sighed when she picked it up and saw the missed texts and voice messages. They were from her parents and clearly they were not happy.

"Well, I think my parents have discovered that we aren't in the Tower and they aren't exactly happy about it. Apparently, they are going after Ophelia this morning and wanted us there, but we aren't."

Gambit’s eyes grew wide with concern. “Get dressed! I’ll call us a cab!” He said hurriedly and rushed to pick up his phone.

Finally Tony and Isabella came up to the others. “Ok, so based off of Gambit’s information, Ophelia is in a mansion in Pennsylvania. She has guards, agents...security that has a backup system,” Steve said.

“There is a portion of the mansion that the satellite's vision could not penetrate along with the floor below the main floor so its a good bet that there might be a lab down there,” Tony added.

“I can’t get...what happened out of my head,” Logan whispered. He had moved so he was beside her and they were a few steps back from Pharaoh who was listening to the sitrep. “I had built it up in my head so much and you were, well amazing,” He said under his breath as Tony continued on about the layout.

Serena had been hoping for a more relaxing morning and sighed when Gambit told her to get dressed. She wanted to argue with him, but she could see that that would be pointless. She got up and put back on her black dress and heels, which was all she had with her.

Natalya heard what Logan said and she glanced over at him. Her eyes met his for a moment and he would see love gazing back at him. She gave him the slightest smile as she looked back ahead. "You weren't so bad yourself."

Kate listened to Steve and then Tony talk about the layout of the mansion and where they suspected the lab might be located. She glanced over at Logan and Natalya and saw Logan whispering to her. Everyone knew that Natalya and Logan were close, but the look she saw pass between them was one she had never seen before. It was a look of love. She had known that at some point this was going to happen...or at least she had been hoping it would. She felt so happy for them, but as she glanced at Steve that happiness faded when she remembered the love that she and Steve once shared.

"So, what's the plan?" she said, pulling herself back into "agent mode."

Tony looked at Logan and Logan slid his gaze from Natalya to him and stopped talking. “We need to get her unharmed which means we need to tranq her before she can harm herself or organize a counterattack. She tends to go for a swim just after noon most days so Kate and Natalya will be in charge of subduing her. Logan and Steve will attract and deal with security and we’ll provide air support and create enough distraction to keep them all off-balance,”Tony said.

“We can’t keep her for long, Hydra will gather their forces to get her back. If we do what we need to do and let her go they’ll likely not pursue us,” Steve said. “We need to get her and Pharaoh together as quickly as possible. Natalya, you’ll have to disable any kind of suicide protocols she has on her person before Kate revives her. Pharaoh will be waiting just inside the treeline to the east of the mansion on the poolside. “Our distraction will be to the south where the least amount of security is at,” he said.

“Any questions?” Tony asked just as Serena and Gambit came off of the elevator.

Isabella heard the elevator doors open and she was surprised to look over and see Serena and Gambit step out and towards the group. Serena hadn't had time to change so she was still in her dress and heels. Isabella narrowed her gaze at the pair and crossed her arms over her chest.

"So, I see you both decided to join us. Get ready. We're leaving in 10 minutes."

Serena glanced at Gambit and then went to her room to get changed. Judging by her mother's look she was going to get an earful later on and she feared that Gambit would get the same from her father. She changed into some pants and a tee-shirt that would be easy to wear under her suit.

Tony being Tony had made Gambit a uniform similar to Logan’s. Mostly black with some red and blue in it. Gambit had never seen Serena in her suit before and he grinned at her when she looked back at him in the jet. Natalya and Kate piloted the jet as it flew at supersonic speeds high up in the sky.

“So you and Logan finally making it happen?” Kate said as she checked the radar once more. There was nothing there as it should be. They were up front in the cockpit and the others could not hear them unless they raised their voices. “Took you long enough,” She said and grinned as she trimmed their flight angle slightly. “With all of your training involving...men, was it a different experience for you?” she asked. Her voice was just barely audible above the sounds of the engines as they whirred loudly through the cabin.

Gambit was looking at Logan and had a small smirk on his face. He had seen that look before. Tony however was looking at him. “Something funny Gambit?” Tony asked in a serious tone. He was angry with the man but he wasn’t exactly certain why yet. Gambit’s gaze shifted and his smirk went away. “Not exactly,” Gambit said. “I’ll give you a pass this time but when it comes to what we do here, you don’t leave without letting others know whats up. You got that?” Tony said briskly. Steve and Logan said nothing but Gambit and Tony looked at one another for several seconds before Gambit looked away.

What this was all about thought was Serena and everyone knew it. He was really angry with her because she knew better but he would never say it. It wasn't his way and he wanted to make an impression on Gambit about how serious he was about him dating his daughter. Dating and 'sleeping with' his daughter. He didn't much care for that at all.

Natalya sat in the co-pilot seat next to Kate. While Kate had been gone Natalya had been the main pilot of the jet, but she was happy to let Kate have the pilot's seat again. It felt nice having her back. The team felt...whole again, though she wasn't sure how long Kate would be staying. She hoped it would be for a while, but that all depended on how things went between Steve and her. Natalya glanced over at Kate when she said what she did. She had thought that they were being subtle, but clearly they hadn't been subtle enough. Kate was pretty observant though and had known herself and Logan long enough to know when something had changed between them.

"Something did happen between us this morning," she finally admitted. There was no point in lying to Kate. Kate knew the truth and she wasn't entirely sure she wanted to keep this a secret anyway. They had hid their feelings for long enough. "It was...different...but a good kind of different because I know he loves me and I love him."

Serena was sitting next to her mother and her mother was clearly still angry. Serena finally sighed and looked at her. "I'm sorry we didn't tell you that we were leaving. We went to a casino and were just having a good time. No one said anything about us doing this today so I didn't think it would be a big deal."

“Not a big deal? You’re not just another girl home for the summer on college break. I can see that you like Gambit bit don’t you think you’re leading him on?” She asked. Isabella didn’t really think Serena had ‘serious’ feelings for Gambit. She thought of this as just a fling. One that had gone on a little to long. They were talking in hushed tones so the others couldn’t hear what they were saying.

“You have responsibilities Serena. And it’s up to you to mind them or not but you can’t have it both ways,” she said. “I know you want to go and experience...things and there is nothing wrong with that but the Avengers is a way of life not just a job you can call off when you want,” she said. And then she felt like being a little vindictive. Especially since she felt alone in this. She knew full well Tony would never call her down for what she’s done. He never could.

“Have you heard from Peter?” She asked plainly. It was a low blow but it was how she felt right then. IsBella missed Peter...a lot.

Serena looked over at her mother with wide eyes when she suggested that she was leading Gambit on. She was getting more and more angry by the minute and she had her arms crossed over her chest defensively. She was thinking more and more that she wanted to just leave the Tower for a while...and not just for a night. She wanted to get out and explore the world. People always thought because of who she was and who her parents were that she had been everywhere. The truth was was that she hardly ever left the Tower. There were so many places she wanted to go and she was actually rather jealous of Peter for studying abroad.

"No, I haven't heard from Peter," she practically snapped. "I tried texting him a few months ago and he never responded back to me. It's over between us. He clearly has no interest in talking to me even though I have tried on several occasions. I know you don't like Gambit because you don't think he compares to Peter, but I like him and that is all that matters to me. He respects me and listens to me and is there for me when I need him."

Isabella’s eyes narrowed. “Well I’m glad you have someone who you can rely on because we certainly don’t!” She said angrily. She had allowed her temper to get the better of her but she felt she had a right to be angry and also very unhappy as well. Her daughter was growing up, to fast it seemed to her and all she could think to do is come down on her instead of being happy that she had found someone.

“It’ll get better you know,” Kate said. “Everything will. I never thought of myself that could really miss someone or get all excited with coming home. But that’s what being with Steve...what it had been like,” she said though her smile faded at the end. “The food you eat will even taste better when he’s with you. It’s crazy I know but it’s true,” she said. “You know I don’t recall you two ever fighting either. Steve and I fought constantly when we weren’t...you know, kissing and such,” she said

Natalya listened to Kate and looked over at her. She could tell that Kate really missed Steve and she knew that Steve really missed her too. “Logan and I have fought and I know that we will continue to fight on occasion. I know that no relationship is perfect, but even with all of that it is still perfect to me because it’s with him. I’ve never felt anything close to what I feel for him. It makes me feel strong and weak at the same time. Logan and I have both been through so much and we need this...we need each other.”

“Well I’m so happy for you and Logan. I think he’s loved you for quite some time. Maybe even love at first sight of you can believe in such a thing,” Kate said then noticed they were getting close.

“Ok people we’re coming in for a landing. Stealth mode is going up,” she said and the engines suddenly became much quieter. They landed in a clearing beyond the trees to the east of the mansion . As they moved into the main cabin with everyone else Natalya and Kate checked one another’s gear. They were both in similar form fitting outfits and as the tugged and jiggled the various pieces of equipment and weapons they paused and noticed both Steve and Logan looking at them. And approvingly by their faces.

“Wow, the tension, it’s like a thick smoke in the air,” Pharoah said with an amused tone to his voice.

Natalya wasn't sure if she believed in love at first sight. Although to be honest until she met Logan she hadn't believed in love at all. Natalya was the type of person that needed to experience something for herself to honestly believe in it and it wasn't until she met Logan that she truly knew what love was. It wasn't just a chemical reaction in the brain. It was so much more than that that couldn't even be expressed in words. She had no doubt that things would not always be easy, but there was no other man that she would want to go through life with because he made her life so much better.

After Kate landed the jet she and Natalya got up and moved back into the main cabin. They double checked each other's gear just as they used to before going into a battle. Everyone on this team protected everyone else and it was no different for the two of them. After a few moments they realized that Steve and Logan were looking at them and they glanced over at them to see the approving looks on their faces. The girls each rolled their eyes and shook their heads. Kate then moved up to Steve and without thinking she began to check his gear like she used to. She soon realized what she was doing and she paused and looked at him with a little redness showing in her cheeks.

"Sorry...old habits die hard I guess..."

Steve was endeared to what she did and, as he always had done in the last he put his hand on her shoulder. “Yes they are so you be careful and don’t take any unnecessary risks,” he said for her ears alone. He didn’t turn away when she looked up into his eyes. Blue looking into blue as it always had been. “We need this one Kate but I want us all to walk away from this in one piece,” he said. When she turned around tonface Natalya who was talking softly with Logan she thought she heard “ I love you,” but Steve was already turning away from her to get ready for the short run toward the house.

Logan kissed Natalya passionately and he didn’t care who saw. For them there were no words just the feel of one another in their arms and the taste of the other on their lips. When they finally separated Logan’s brow furled in nearly a scowl. He was about to commit violence and already his mind was preparing for that. He mouthed the words ‘I love you’ to her then pressed two fingers over her lips as a sign that he knew she loved him to.

The assault…..

Natalya and Kate has evaded the security. The cameras, the guards and the trip sensors. They were onto the lavishly decored courtyard and as expected Ophelia was swimming in the large olympic
Sized pool. There was classical music playing from loudly and only one other person was there. Another woman laying topless on one of the white padded lounge chairs that sat near the pool. She was a blonde with sunglasses and quite an attractive one from what they could see. Ophelia was swimming laps in the pool just as expected.

Kate had heard what Steve had said and she wanted to say it back, but she knew he knew how she felt. She looked over and saw Logan and Natalya talking quietly but then Logan suddenly pulled Natalya to him and kissed her rather passionately. Natalya kissed him back, neither one of them caring if the others saw them. When he pulled back she looked up into his eyes and gave him a little smile before grabbing her tranq gun and disembarking the jet.

Kate and Natalya managed to evade the security and they made their way to the back where the Olympic sized swimming pool was located. They spotted two women, one who was sunbathing and the other was in the pool swimming laps. Natalya knew that Ophelia was the one in the pool. She couldn't tranquilize her while she was in the pool otherwise she might drown so they would need to wait for her to get out of the water. However, she also knew that the other woman would start screaming and alert the security guards as soon as she tranquilized Ophelia.

"We are going to need to tranquilize them both," she whispered to Kate who also had a tranq gun. We'll wait until Ophelia gets out of the water. I'll take Ophelia and you take the blonde."

Gambit’ Logan and Steve we’re going to buy the interrogation time. Security was going to be looking for Ophelia once the ladies break the security grid and the alarms starting going off. Pharaoh was waiting on Ophelia to arrive and Serena had been chosen to carry her to him in the tree line. Tony and Isabella were waiting as well to cover those that needed it and provide air support.

“I’m with you,” Kate said and pulled out her tranq pistol. The two women stayed low and dropped down into the pavered pool area. Once they did the woman sunbathing sat up but Kate shot her right in the chest. She looked down at the orange dart then fell back onto her back of her chair. Ophelia was still swimming
And the music covered the noise. No one was expecting them and that gave them the advantage.

Ophelia has begun to step out of the water after her last lap. She wore green bikini bottoms and the rest of her was well tanned without any tan lines. She was a beautiful woman, tall and lean and strong. She was also very well trained and she smelled the two women almost immediately. Natalya’s shot almost hit her on the leg but she rolled and dodged her attack. As she did the two women pressed forward, their weapons shooting darts as fast as their fingers could pull the trigger. Ophelia almost made it back into the pool before One of Natalya’s shots struck her in the shoulder. Unfortunately her momentum carried her forward and she fell head first back into the pool.

Natalya cursed under her breath when Ophelia dodged her attack and forced Kate and herself out of the trees. They rushed towards Ophelia, each of them firing their tranq darts until finally Natalya hit her in the shoulder. Unfortunately, Ophelia was thrown forward into the pool. Thankfully, Serena had been watching from the air and dove down into the water and grabbed Ophelia. She pulled her out of the water and put her down on the pool deck. The women ensured that there wasn't any water in her lungs before Natalya began to check her for any suicide devices. She located a cyanide capsule and removed it, but that was all she found.

"I'm headed your way Pharaoh," Serena told him as she picked up Ophelia and flew the woman towards him.

When Steve heard of the ladies success he readied his shield. “Alright boys lets make some noise!” He said and the three of them rushed forward. The security picked them up almost immediately and Tony and Isabella who were eavesdropping on their radio
Channels heard a lot of chatter suddenly. Gambit tossed energies playing cards at the front gate and it exploded and sent cast iron everywhere. Steve was first through the gate and he engaged the officers that had just arrived.

Gambits cards guarded their flanks and Logan flung himself and hamstrung anyone that was fool enough to engage him. They were using their weapons but Logan just took the bullets and continued to press inward toward the mansion.

Tony and Isabella watched as Serena flew into the trees. However something big moved out of a small structure near one of the gardens. A huge two legged...vehicle began to run toward those on foot and it began to fire its massive guns at them. As Kate and Natalya began their retreat they heard the sound of those guns and the loud, deep booms of the explosive
Ammunition it had. The three men scattered in three directions as explosions pelted the ground around them.

“Hang on Steve, we’re coming!” Isabella said into her comms. Steve took one of the shells right onto his shield. The explosion flung him backward and he rolled to a stop and stayed prone as he made certain nothing on him was broken. As they attacked it from above they quickly found that that thing was heavily armored. “We’ll need to trip it!” Tony suggested. “Ready your tow cables,” he said as they flew around for another pass. As Kate readied the shot to wake their prisoner Kate shackled her so she couldn’t move. Serena was with them and she heard everything that was happening and it appeared that the boys were getting thrashed by something large and powerful.

Isabella flew with Tony back around and readied her tow cables. Together, she and Tony flew around the vehicle. They stayed down towards the legs and together they made several passes before releasing the cables and flying up and away. Isabella hovered in the air next to Tony as the vehicle suddenly struggled and then fell forward.

Kate and Natalya separated. Natalya went to go help Steve, Logan, and Gambit and Kate went to find Pharaoh. Once she located him in the woods she secured Ophelia and then began to administer the reversal for the tranquilizer. Serena could hear what was going on through her comm system and took off to go help.

"It won't take long," Kate said to Pharaoh regarding the reversal of the tranquilizer.

Tony noticed me and women dressed in green. Some had ran out to help the down guards but others had stayed where they were and were observing them. “Watch out people, Hydra agents are on the field,” he said.

Victoria had ran up to the roof as soon as the security alarms had gone off. She had her wrist communicator tapped into the security monitors and she saw what they saw. The rifle on her back was very new, created by the now defunct Osborn Corp. as well as the new ammunition. She only had a few rounds of the special
Armor piecing rounds but every sniper knew that if they had enough patience, it only took one bullet.

Guards and agents converged on Steve. He had just stood back up when he threw his shield hard at one agent then hopped onto another. Gambit charged more cards and tossed them at the group that was running toward them. They all had to dodge as the explosion shook the ground. Logan jumped into the fray unafraid of the guns and melee weapons that the agents used against him to limited effect. His claws destroyed weapons and limbs as he fought and he growled viciously as he charged toward another group dressed in green.

Pharaoh began to question Viper and it was clear to him anyway that she did know more than what she was telling him. With her still thinking about her secrets his body suddenly fell limp and he possessed her body and took over her mind.

Natalya pulled out her guns and began to fire at the Hydra agents. She took out as many as she could before running out of bullets. She then began to fight in hand to hand combat. This was where her training truly excelled and she took out one agent after another as they engaged her. She was unaware of the agent on the roof who possessed a new kind of ammunition that could pierce armor.

Serena and her parents flew through the air and used their repulsor beams to help the others on the ground. Serena's suit was specially designed for her abilities and enhanced them while allowing her to maintain her energy levels.

Kate stood back as Pharaoh questioned Viper, but it became clear to them both that she did know more than what she was telling them. She watched as Pharaoh took over Viper's body and mind to extract those secrets from her. She had her pistol out and ready in case anyone came across them.

Their team was doing extremely well now that that armored vehicle was out of commission. Pharaoh sifted through her thoughts and her memories and learned that they did make copies of the formula and they had 2 secret labs working on different parts of the formula. One under the mansion and one in New York that was sponsored by the SSB. They were weeks away from a breakthrough but they had the resources to eventually recreate the formula. He let Ophelia go and his body stirred eerily. “Ok, we got what we came for,” he told Kate.

“Ok guys, Kate says that our mission is complete. Time to go!” Tony said as he laid down a wall of fire. “Go!” Logan said. As he, Steve and Gambit changed their advance into a tactical retreat. “Natalya, we are leaving!” Steve shouted as they passed her fighting hand to hand with several Hydra agents.

Victoria knew who her primary target was. A former SSB agent, a woman to her surprise. She looked into her scope and adjusted for the wind and the distance. Logan thought he saw an odd reflection up on the roof of the mansion as they retreated. He stopped when he saw Natalya drop a large man with a headbutt then a boot to the face. “Go..go..go!” He shouted at her and as she began to run toward the others he saw the reflection again. He didn’t think he just moved. He shifted so that he was behind her and then with a snarl he summoned as much speed as he could and threw himself at her back. Victoria has her shot and though it wasn’t a large target do to the man behind her she took it.

Natalya felt a heavy weight near her to the ground. When she shifted to fight whomever it was she noticed it was Logan. He was bleeding from his head and he wasn’t moving. She had seen him like this several times and as the report of the rifle rang out she would know what had happened. Logan would heal but she knew she couldn’t leave him behind. Gambit had come back to her and together they carried Logan toward the others.

“What is the meaning on this?’” Ophelia snarled in her bonds. “How dare you attack me and in my own home!” She said angrily. She did not know what had happened to her only that it looked as if they had planned on kidnapping her. “They’ll come for me and when they do, you’ll wish your father’s never kissed your mothers!” She shouted then struggled against her bonds.

Natalya heard Logan shouting at her to go as she was finishing up with another agent. She began to run towards the others. She had no idea what Logan saw, or that she was a primary target. Suddenly, she heard a thud behind her. She stopped and turned and saw it was Logan laying on the ground. He was bleeding from the head and she knew that he had been shot. She had seen this on many occasions. When he had found her she had shot him in the head as well and thought he was dead. She now knew that his healing abilities would force the bullet out and close up the wound. However, she couldn't just leave him laying there. Thankfully, Gambit came back and helped her carry him towards the jet.

Kate knew that they needed to go. They had gotten the information they needed. She looked at Pharaoh. "We need to go now." Kate did not remove Ophelia's bonds. She and Pharaoh took off towards the jet. They reached it first and Kate quickly fired up the engines to get it in the air as quickly as possible.

Natalya and Gambit carried Logan onto the jet and laid him down on a flat table that had some straps. She strapped him in and then crouched down beside him to wait for him to awaken.

“I’ll co-pilot Natalya, stay with Logan,” Steve said as he stowed his shield. To Kate’s surprise he climbed into the cockpit with her and began doing flight checks as she powered up the engines.

As the plane took off Isabella was there at Logan’s side next to Natalya. She was using her suits medical diagnostics suite to see what was going on with Logan. He hadn’t woken up yet and his head wound was taking a very long time to heal. As she passed it over his head both her and Natalya saw the bullet.  A long, pointed thing that had pierced all the way into his brain. The problem was that it had shifted and was now stuck inside his head. The shape of the bullet is what was odd to her but not to Natalya. She had seen this design before. It was something the SSB Had been working on to pierce almost any kind of armor.

If Logan hadn’t been behind her she knew that she’d certainly be dead right now. He sacrificed himself as he had many times before thinking he’d heal and everything would be alright. But it wasn’t alright and Isabella was worried.

Isabella moves up to the cockpit. “Kate, we need to go to the SHIELD hospital,” she said then took a look back at Natalya them turned back toward them. “I think he’s not ok so push it if you can,” she said as soft as she could so Natalya would not hear her. Kate pushes the throttle forward and the sonic boom of the jet rocked the air.
