Serena listened to Gambit as he revealed everything about his past to her. She knew now why he had kept it all from her and why her parents had wanted her to stay away from him. His past was dark, but she knew he was a good guy at heart. She had seen it already. No one could say that Natalya had been a saint in her past, but she had been given a second chance. She thought Gambit deserved that same opportunity. She reached out and took his hand and laced her fingers through his. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
