One too Many Choices
The next morning she heard no hide no hair from her two suitors. Calaren had duty, he was in charge of the training that day and Eagan, Eagan wasn’t certain what to think anymore. He knew now he had made a mistake when he didn’t just come forward. Now time had passed and it was difficult to know what to feel now that it was all out in the open. Her father hadn’t said no but knew he just hadn’t had the chance.
He had gotten his own apartments 2 levels down and knew she’d find out where he had taken up residence if she wanted to know. He leaned forward out his balcony that overlooked the large city. The sun was still low and dark birds fluttered across the sky in search of their morning meal.
“What game is she playing at?” Eomer said. Lindariel lay there naked on the bed half wrapped in the, soft dark bear furs that he had made for her. By all accounts she aged slowly, much slower than Eomer but he was still a very setup man and had just proven his virility to her that morning. He stood with his naked backside to her as he got a drink of cool, summer wine mixed with plums. He was angry, as he was often and he half turned back toward to gaze upon her nakedness as he was want to do. He had such piercing blue eyes and she knew he very much liked what he saw. It settled him to a degree and his mouth had that way of smiling that was just barely there and yet she knew it for what it was. A full grin on any other man’s face. “If Eagan has come this far for her...has something happened?” He asked. “And how will it affect her courtship with Calaren?” He asked.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa woke up that morning, but was exhausted. She had barely slept. She had spent most of the night pacing in her room as she tried to think of what to do. Even though she knew she loved Eagan more, she felt obligated now to Calaren and she knew that she did love him also. She could see herself married to either man, although her thoughts always lingered more with Eagan. But would he even marry her now? He had put her in this situation. He had stubbornly refused to go talk to her father even when she practically begged him too. He then thought that writing letters back and forth was too dangerous so he forbade her from doing that as well. Nearly two years without any contact and no way of knowing when he would return...or if he would return.
Needing some air, Narisa decided to go out for a ride by herself. She dismissed her servants and dressed herself. She had not been out to the villages for several weeks and decided to go back to the one ten miles to the east that had had a sick boy there the last time she had visited. She found some candy and a few small toys to give to him and then went out and saddled Onyx. The sun was still barely over the horizon as she headed out of Edoras towards the village.
Lindariel had been completely relaxed and content. Many mornings Eomer was gone before she even awoke, but today he had lingered with her in bed and made love to her as the sun rose. She was now lounging on their large bed partially wrapped in one of the dark brown bear furs Eomer had made for her. She had hoped that perhaps making love would ease her husband's tension, but it quickly returned as he spoke of Narisa.
"I do not believe Narisa is playing a game," she responded. "I've never seen her like she is now. She has barely eaten the last few days and isn't sleeping. My honest belief is that they fell in love before he left for Gondor, but he felt he needed to prove himself to you. So he went to Gondor to train. It would explain why Narisa has been putting off courtships for the past two years. It was easy with those men because she didn't really know them...but Calaren...Calaren was different. She had a history with him that you took advantage of. I think she also feels like you are disappointed in her and perhaps it was that pressure to please you that made her allow Calaren to court her, even though she was in love with Eagan. I have no doubt that she loves both men, which is why this decision is tearing her apart. I think that you owe it to Eagan to speak with him privately...and calmly. He's a high ranking soldier of the Gondorian army now...certainly worthy in that aspect for Narisa's hand."

Re: One too Many Choices
When she arrived she found that they small boy had died. He was too weak to travel and though a healer had come his blood sickness had worked its way through his tiny body and he died. Raonella, his mother had said that he was in alot of pain. His father who was working the field then had given him a double dose of the medicine to end his suffering. She had tried to stop him and he had had to hit her to get her to let him. The right side of her face was bruised and she had a terribly lost look in her eyes.
“I know in my heart Tavim did the right thing but I couldn’t bear it then,” she said. Her daughter died a few days after birth. Now her home was empty and every day that passed she thought about taking what was left of the medcine herself. “I can’t look at Tavim anymore though he tells me how sorry he is every day,” she said as she stifled her tears. “I can’t look at him cuz I banme myself for the sickly state of my babies,” she said sadly. She blamed herself for them and for how they died.
“Then I will have a talk with him,” Eomer said. When she lifted her leg up and then bent it at the knee to show him just enough to get him to lick his lips he nodded. “Will that please you?” He asked then drank all that was in his cup. “Do I please you?” He asked in a much more softer tone.
Where Calaren had passion and drive and courage, Eagan had compassion, and creativity and a kind manner. Eagan was good with horses but had no asperations to move to Gehenna like Calaren did. Eagan wanted to live in Gondor which Narisa knew her father wanted as well. Eagan wanted to remain in the military and she would be his wife to keep his house, bear his children and love him for the man that he was. Calaren wanted a partner and it wasnt clear if he wanted children or not. He loved horses as much or more than she did and wanted to form a life around them, breed and train them like her Grandfather did.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa was heartsick to learn that the child had died. She had sat by his bedside and had given him a wooden toy horse, which he seemed to have loved. She had told herself he would get better, but in her heart she had feared the worst. She did her best to comfort his mother, but she could not know her pain and she hoped that she never would. She knew that she wanted children, but she also needed her horses. Without them she was not herself...not Narisa. They had been a very large part of her life since before she could walk. She knew that no matter the man she chose that this would not be an option for her.
She walked outside and over to the little boy's grave and placed one of the toys she had brought on top of it. She stayed there for a moment before turning to go. It was then that she heard the screaming...
OOC-I don't know if you remember or not but I had had an idea of there being a raid on one of the villages while Narisa was there and a child is taken, but Narisa chases after him and gets the child back, but is injured in the process.
Lindariel was glad that Eomer was going to speak with Eagan. She believed the young man deserved his chance to prove to her husband that he was more worthy of Narisa's hand than Calaren. She was certain that Calaren would be back to speak with her husband as soon as his duties were finished for the day. Ever so slowly she lifted her right leg up and bent it at the knee. By Eomer's expression he was pleased with what he saw. She nodded slightly when he asked if that would please her. When he then asked her if he pleased her she was surprised by the softness of his tone.
"Most of the time," she replied with a teasing grin.

Re: One too Many Choices
Eomer liked challenges, most of the time. Lindariel’s beauty was something he thought would last forever. He wiped his mouth of the wine then smiled as he moved back toward the bed intent on pleasuring her as he knew he could….
Men in darkened, leathers and furs on horses of all kinds, shapes and sizes jumped over the short, wooden fences as they began to attack the village. Women screamed and men ran toward their houses for their weapons. It had been a long time since their had been an actual raid. They had all let their guard down. Still there were some with bows and they were firing them at their attackers as they were rode down. If Narisa were caught they’d likely rape her and then try to ransom her. Children scattered like quail in the nearby field. Some men jumped off their horses onto a girl or a woman and began raping them without a pause. Men and women were hacked from behind as they tried to run and some of the raiders were pulled down off of their horses or stabbed with spears all around the village. Just outside the house she had been in a woman was being raped on the wood pile near the west end of the house. Another man, he looked large and mean up on his dark brown mare, rode up and dismounted then drew out his sword. He looked as if he were going to enter in a few seconds. He'd likely find the boy's mother inside.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa had heard about raids and had seen the aftermath, but to actually witness one in process was terrifying. She could hear both men and women screaming and children crying. All around her there were men on horses and time seemed to move both slowly and very quickly at the same time. Narisa could hear the blood pumping in her ears. She was wearing her royal cloak and she knew if they spotted her they would go after her for sure. She ducked down behind a pile of straw, trying to remain hidden. However, as she peeked around the pile she spotted a man looking like he was going to enter the house. Knowing that she needed to act quickly, she drew an arrow and readied her bow. Having been taught archery by her grandmother she was an excellent shot, though her hands were trembling a little. She had never actually killed anyone before...only small rodents and birds. She aimed and drew in a deep breath and fired. Her arrow struck the man right through the neck.

Re: One too Many Choices
Other men afoot saw the general direction where the arrow had came from but half way there they became distracted and moved off toward looting and plunder. When the man finished with the woman he picked her up and put her on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. It hardly lasted more than a few minutes but already men began to mount their horses. Some had people draped across their saddle, others had bags of loot and food. Several children were tied together though out in the field and a man on a horse began to lead them away. Low moans and dirt-stained faces looked desperately all around them as the raiders forced them to walk away from the only homes they had ever known in their young lives. It was then that Narisa heard someone behind her.
“Well, what do we have here!?” He said in a dark grumble. There was a smaller man behind him and both men had hand axes and shields. “Look Garal, look at her cloak!” The smaller one said. She noticed his hair was bald on the sides of his head and spiked up in the center. That and he looked to have been missing several teeth and his crooked nose was a sign it had been broken several times THe larger man though looked fairly clean, With short, curly black hair and a trimmed black beard. Quite stout with black leather armor and furs up on his shoulders and down his back. She’d notice that he held himself like he knew what he was doing. The other kept his shield low as he moved toward her. “Take her Hestle, I’ll have her warm my bed tonight,” he said with a grin. THen Hestle moved past him toward her apparently unafraid of her bow.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa was sickened by what was going on, but was unsure of what to do. She was afraid, but then thought of her grandmother. What would she do? She certainly wouldn't hide. She would be out in the middle of it all, fighting with the bravery and strength of ten men. She wouldn't think twice. Narisa knew that she needed to do something. It was then that she spotted the children. They were tied together and being led away. Her heart dropped, but then anger quickly bubbled up to the surface. She would not let this happen! She needed to get to them...now!
She took a step forward when she suddenly heard a voice behind her. Looking back, she spotted two men with axes and shields eyeing her like she was a piece of meat. She quickly realized that they had spotted her royal cloak and knew that they wanted her. Glancing over she saw the children getting further and further away. She looked back at the man called Hestle as he moved towards her. She pulled out an arrow and nocked it and aimed it.
"Stop or I will kill you!"
When the man simply laughed and started towards her again she fired the arrow...straight through his right eye. He fell to the ground before taking another step.
"Onyx!"
The large black stallion heard her call and quickly headed her way. She aimed another arrow at the second man. "I will not let you hurt another person again!" The man turned and started to run but she released her arrow, straight into the back of his head. She then jumped onto Onyx's back and raced towards the children.

Re: One too Many Choices
The argument lasted for hours but eventually Calaren and Eagan just decided to leave. A farmer came and related about the raid. Eomer was afraid that Narisa could have been taken and her guards overcome. They had been, to man they were killed but they didn't go down easily. They killed more than twice their number but in the end they died, their horses running away and wouldn't stop until they returned to Edoras.
Onyx came swiftly and he paused to let her mount him. As soon as he felt her hand touch the reins he was off again but gave the two bodies a second look incase either decided to hop up to attack. For Narisa, precious time had been lost. Most of the raiders now had drawn or ridden away. They weren't all together either, there appeared to be three groups, the children moved behind a cart and mule which was quickly surrounded by riders which made her think that might be the largest group. The children cried and moaned for there parents. Many in which were killed or raped or were forced to run away. The problem was that there were too many and a couple had turned and noticed her following. However at that distance they could barely make out who it could be.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa knew that she needed to move quickly. The raiders were already leaving and had spread out. Her eyes scanned the groups looking for the children. She spotted a rather large group and her sharp eyes spied one of the children on the back of a cart. Immediately, she directed Onyx that way and gave him a few more kicks. He began at a full run and she headed straight for the cart, not thinking of any dangers that might befall herself. She was only thinking about getting those children back. As she neared the group she let go of Onxy's reins in order to ready an arrow. She began firing at the riders around the cart. Her shots were precise and deadly. A few began to fire back at her, but she managed to avoid being hit. She could now see the driver of the cart...

Re: One too Many Choices
At her approach the driver leaned back when she fired an arrow and it hit the side of the cart bench. At this moment though he slashed at his reins and the cart lurched forward. The result was the children now fell from their feet and now they were being dragged painfully through the grass and dirt. Their cries of pain were terrible and some began to choke as the ropes around their necks began to get tighten due to the strain of pulling them. As she knocked another arrow she saw him pull his arm back and then forward just as her arrow was loosed. The arrow pierced his chest just as she felt a sharp pain in her side.
Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa felt terror grip her as the cart began to move faster. She could see the children being dragged now and she knew she needed to act quickly. She let go of the reins and pulled out another arrow and aimed it at the driver. She waited for just the right moment to get a clean shot before firing. However, just as her arrow pierced his chest she felt a sharp pain in her side. The driver slumped forward and the cart slowed. Narsia looked down to see an arrow sticking out of her side. The arrow was deep and extremely painful. She felt shock starting to come on quickly. She was trembling as blood began to soak into her clothes. She knew she needed to get the arrow out and quickly. Looking over she saw someone riding away quickly and assumed that was the one who shot her. It didn't appear that he was going to be coming back. The cart had stopped and she wanted to get to the children. She gripped Onyx's reins tightly in one hand as she used her other to grip the arrow shaft right where it met her skin. She took a few deep breaths before pulling it out. She screamed out in pain and nearly fainted. She dropped the bloody arrow to the ground while holding her side. Blood was running through her fingers. She wasn't sure how, but she somehow managed to get off of Onyx. She was unsteady on her feet and leaned against Onyx for support as she used a knife to rip off a long piece of her cloak. She wrapped it around her as best she could with her trembling hands in an effort to stop the blood. She then held onto Onyx's reins as she walked over to the children. They were battered and bruised and badly scraped up, but all alive. One by one she untied them and then instructed them to get onto the cart. Onyx knelt down to allow her to get up more easily and she grabbed onto the reins of the mule's that had been used to pull the cart. With the dead driver still in the seat up front she led the cart, filled with the children back towards the village. She had completely bled through the makeshift bandage she had made and blood was flowing down her side again. She kept losing consciousness briefly, but somehow managed to remain awake. She needed to get the children back to safety...

Re: One too Many Choices
She could tell many were injured and two would not be able to walk. Luckily there was plenty of room in the cart for them. The two eldest boys said they could run along with the cart. The cart was heavy for the mule but it plodded along at a fair pace. She saw no other raiders. Most were making their way back to their camps. In the distance the fires that had caught up some of the houses burned well into the evening. As they began to see planting fields again she knew over the next ridge was the village. However as they crested the hill two men on horses came into view. She knew them for who they were, Eagan and Calaren. Soldiers began to circle the village while others began to try and put out the fires and help the injured. Eagan stepped his mare up to hers and came alongside while Calaren hopped off his leggy red to help the children.
“Are you alright?” He asked and noticed how pale she was. He smiled when she smiled but she noticed that something was different in his eyes when he looked at her. Like a man who wasn’t exactly certain what he was seeing. “Are you hurt?” He asked again when she didn’t really respond to him. Calaren came up on foot just as she began to fall from the saddle. Eagan caught her as Calaren was able to carry her gently to the ground.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa wasn't sure how much further she could make it, but she was determined to try. Everything went in and out of focus and she felt sick to her stomach. She felt both fiery hot and icy cold at the same time. She could see the village in the distance and could see the fires. They were almost there. As they drew closer she thought she saw Eagan and Calaren. She couldn't be sure at this point because she believed she was now hallucinating. Eagan moved closer to her and she thought he said something, but everything sounded fuzzy to her ears. Then everything went black...
As the men got her to the ground they would be able to see the extent of her injury. She had clearly been shot by an arrow in her right side and had bled completely through the makeshift bandage. Blood was still flowing and her right side was completely soaked. She was completely unconscious now and already starting to run a fever. She was mumbling in her sleep...speaking Eagan's name.

Re: One too Many Choices
In a panic, Eagan tore her dress and exposed the wound more so he could see it. However it was Calaren who was more the healer. He knew alot about injuries in animals and people though more so about animals. Eagan tried to stem the bloodflow but to no avail. "Calaren...she just keeps...bleeding!" He said. "Oh Narisa, i'm so sorry," he said. Calaren came around and knelt at her side. "You, bring the King immediately!" He barked at a soldier and the soldier went. He examined the wound and used his fingers to check the hole.
"She has damage inside of her, we need to cut and cauterize where she is bleeding from or she'll die," he said. "You there, start a fire, quickly...quickly!" He asked. "All of you, drop your daggers there!" He barked and men began to drop them. He was looking for just the right sort of edge. One to do the cutting, the other to heat up and cauterize where the blood was coming from. Eagan looked sick. "Eagan, get her dress and bodice pulled down," he asked. Eagan looked at him like he was asking him to kiss a pit viper. "I most certainly will no-" "Do it man, hurry," Calaren asked. "I need clean water!" He barked and some was provided for him. A fire began to crackle and produce smoke behind them and he picked up the daggers and handed them to a soldier. "Clean this one off then heat it slightly. Heat this one until the tip is orange in color," he told them. Eagan leaned down and kissed her cheek. "Narisa, oh Narisa, you're going to be fine, can you hear me? Just fine?" He said though he was trembling. Calaren had no time to tremble or be afraid. The woman he loved was dying right before him. He was so heartsick he wanted to empty out his stomach.

Re: One too Many Choices
Narisa showed no signs of life other than the shallow breaths she was now taking. Her body was limp in Eagan's arms and her heartbeat was weakening. Her lips and cheeks paled as her body lost even more blood. Onyx remained near her and could obviously sense that something was wrong. He was highly agitated and stomped and snorted and would not be moved. Villagers had begun to gather and look on in horror. Many feared she was past saving and began to weep for their princess. When Eagan began to pull down her dress and bodice the women ushered everyone away to grant the princess some decency, especially if these were to be her last moments.

Re: One too Many Choices
Calaren didn’t look to see the King coming up the hill, he didn't have any time. He poured the clean water on her wound then he began to cut her flesh right below the bleeding hole. “Don’t you leave me Narisa,” Calaren said warningly as Eagon held her shoulders. His cut was about three fingers in length, not very long by all accounts but he didn’t want to make the wound too much bigger. “The hot knife!” He barked and a soldier brought it to him after he quenched it briefly in clean water. “Ok, hold her...hold her!” He barked and a soldier bent down and took hold of her legs while Eagan held down her arms and upper body. He was crying and didn't know how to stop it. “I’m so sorry Narisa,” he murmured to her and then she fet the searing pain of heat as her side felt like it was on fire.
Re: One too Many Choices
Lindariel rode at a full run beside her husband towards the village. All she knew was that there had been a raid at the village where Narisa had been visiting and that she had been badly injured. She felt numb with fear that she might lose her daughter. She clung to any hope she had as they neared the village. She could see Calaren and Eagan, who was holding Narisa. Overhead the sky was darkening as a storm began to brew. There would be no way that they would be able to get her back to Edoras until it cleared. As she drew close she could see how badly the injury was and her fear nearly overwhelmed her. She wanted to go to her and hold her, but she needed to let Calaren work.
As the hot blade was pressed against her side Narisa became conscious and let out a heartwrenching scream of pain. Her eyes opened briefly and she looked up into Eagan's before she lost consciousness again. Just then the sky opened up and rain began to fall as a bolt of lightening shot across the sky.

Re: One too Many Choices
The soldiers looked around and their horses danced nervously as the wind picked up and the clouds began to grow dark. It was done and he had cauterize the wound but she still needed to be stitched up. "Get that canopy and bring it nigh!" The king barked and the soldiers began to dismantle the cart with adroitness. It was raining now but Calaren leaned over her body with his own as he prepared a needle with a bit of silk thread that he had in his aid kit. Soldiers moved out of the way and one turned up a lantern and brought it over to him as other soldiers covered them with the old canopy from the wagon. Calaren' hand never shook once as he laced together her flesh. He was so afraid though. Afraid of losing her forever and it being his fault. He snipped the last stitch short and that was that. Lastly he applied a treated bandage from his kit and wrapped her around with white linen cloth to keep the bandage in place. He looked up at the queen who looked like she wanted desperately to weep but she held it all in.
"I've...I've done all I can My king," he said as Eagan began to wrap her up carefully. A soldier came to help carry her but Eagan warded him off. "Don't you touch her!" He growled as he lifted her up carefully.

Re: One too Many Choices
Another bolt of lightening shot across the sky followed by a teeth rattling clap of thunder. One of the women from the village told Eagan to bring the princess into her home. Lindariel followed quickly behind and directed Eagan to lay Narisa on one of the beds. The woman, a widow named Inga, was rather overwhelmed at having the King, Queen, Princess, and two high ranking soldiers in her home. She stood back and allowed them to do whatever they needed to take care of Princess Narisa. Rain continued to fall hard outside and the wind blew against the shutters. Inga thankfully had a fire already going and some stew cooking. It wouldn't be a lot, but it was something she could offer. She quickly went into the kitchen to begin making some tea for the Queen who was sitting by her daughter's side. She gently caressed her pale face as she fought back tears.

Re: One too Many Choices
There was little change in her the next day. In her nor the weather. The rain continued to fall in varying degrees. Lightning and thunder crashed there and elsewhere and the wind was blowing hard enough to throw thatch off of some roofs. The soldiers were helping to rebuild but the rain made the process an unpleasant one. Eagan stopped by her bedside to see Narisa and Lindariel stepped out for some something to eat and asked him to watch over her while she was gone.
He was damp from the rain and his hands were dirty from cutting wood so he decided not to touch her. He looked at her lying there, so peaceful and still so pale. He rubbed at his temples as he thought about the mixture of feelings he had inside himself. Like the storm outside, his insides were in turmoil over how he felt about her. He knew that he loved her. There was no denying that but she had hurt him, grievously and forgiving her had proven to be alot harder than he thought it might be. She had promised to wait for him and even though he came early she did not wait. She did not wait and now his heart was still raw over it.
“We had a plan you and I,” he said softly to her. “We loved one another and it was meant to be, why did you challenge that? Were you lonely? Did you feel I wasn’t enough for you? God I love you so much it hurts Narisa. How could you break our promise?” He knew she wouldn’t hear her but somehow, getting this off his chest helped. Even if his questions were going to go unanswered. Eventually Lindariel came back and Eagan left to go back out into the rain and help rebuild the village.
Eomer stood and bit into red apple as he looked over the 15 bodies of men and women that his men had killed while hunting down the raiders. He knew there were many more but this was a good start. They had two that were alive and they were gagged and bound and on their knees. They had been beaten and forced to tell of the other camps they knew about. So far, their information had kept them alive though not their comrades lying dead beside them.

Re: One too Many Choices
Lindariel sat by her daughter's side for over an hour. She just watched her, looking for any sign that she was awakening, but her eyes remained closed. Every hour that passed and she lived, however, gave them all hope that she would pull through. Thankfully, there was no sign of infection, but she maintained a fever. She soaked a rag in cool water and laid it on her forehead while whispering soothing words to her. Her heart broke to see her daughter like this. She felt helpless and could only wait...as patiently as she could.
She looked over and saw her husband standing outside. A feeling of anger coursed through her as she thought about what he had said about Narisa several weeks ago. She removed the cloth from her daughter's forehead and stepped outside. There was a covered area over the door to the house and she stood there, though she wouldn't have cared if she got wet. She was quiet for a long while before finally speaking.
"I hope your impression of your daughter has now changed Eomer. She was willing to risk her life to save those children...and very nearly did. You are quick to judge her and even quicker to scold her. All she has ever wanted is your love and to feel as though you are proud of her. She has done much for you to be proud of in her life, but you never chose to see those things. By the grace of God you will be given a second chance to mend your relationship with her...I beg you to take it."

Re: One too Many Choices
Eomer was in a foul mood. Their efforts at finding these men had only yielded barely more than a handful and he knew there were many more out there. They were going to pay for harming his daughter. Pay with blood!
Lindariel’s outburst surprised him, his mind was on other matters and her anger toward him in turn made his own anger flare up. It was just good fortune that they were relatively alone. “You take her foolishness as something I should be proud of?! You are mistaken wife, she snuck out like a petulant child...again!” He said but then his sorrow for her condition cut deep into his heart and his voice cracked. He grabbed her arms harshly and he clenched his jaw.
“How dare you lay more guilt on my shoulders then already resides there,” he growled and his eyes looked angry.

Re: One too Many Choices
Lindariel held her ground against her husband. She always did. The Phelan blood that ran through her veins made her just as stubborn as he and she was unafraid of his temper. She was the only one who would never back down from him...and it caused their making up sessions to be extremely intense. This argument, however, was different. She was telling Eomer what he already knew and didn't want to hear, but she could not hold her tongue any longer. Their daughter had nearly died...and might still. She didn't blame her husband for what had happened to her, but she wanted Eomer to look at her differently now.
"She didn't sneak out! I knew where she was going and she had her guards with her! She came here to visit a child who had been sick at her last visit. She was performing her duties as a princess of Rohan!"
She looked at her husband then for a moment and her eyes softened a little and she lowered her voice. "I do not wish for you to feel guilt Eomer," she told him honestly. "I just...I just want for you to see how incredible she truly is...to be proud of her...because you should...she is your daughter after all...no one else's...yours."
Just then Lindariel heard something from inside the house. She looked over to see Narisa awakening and tears of happiness and relief came to her eyes. She looked back at Eomer.
"She's waking."

Re: One too Many Choices
With that Eomer moved quickly with his wife back into the house. Both he and Lindariel came to her bedside and knelt there next to her. She was still so pale he thought as he took her hand into his and squeezed it. He saw that she was about to try and talk.
“Don’t try to talk Narisa...you are safe everyone is safe, those children you put in your charge are safe,” he told her softly. He turned ad nodded toward the water pitcher and the woman whose house this was poured her half a cup quickly then handed it to Lindariel. She was positively thrilled now that Narisa opened her eyes though she kept back in the background.
