Not Quite What They Expected

Arina ignored her brother for the moment. All of her focus was on Lucas. If these were going to be her last moments with him then she wanted to find ways to remember him. She closed her eyes and breathed in his scent deeply. With her head against his chest she could hear his heartbeat. She leaned up and kissed him...their tears mixed together on their lips. However, what she was going to miss the most was the feel of his arms around her...those strong, protecting arms. Suddenly, she felt something and she pulled back a little. "The baby just kicked.." For a moment she completely forgot out everything else and she grabbed his hand and placed it where she had felt it only seconds ago. The baby then kicked again. "Did you feel that?" she asked him with a little smile through her tears.

Saying he was acting as their father’s advocate in this matter was one thing. Seeing how she was with Lucas. How much they loved one another made evening considering breaking them up very difficult to take. He had looked to Calista more than once for some kind of help but other than her disapproving looks she might as well have been a bloody statue. Did women take a class in doing that? If he split them up now she’d likely not think very well of him and he definitely did not want that. He still just looked on in silence to see what they’d do and then he found himself untying his belt pouch. Damn...foolish girl! He wanted to growl. Damn all women! He said silently. He’d never say that aloud but he thought it now.


“Calista...what do you have in your coin purse?” he asked softly as he moved up to her. He looked down into his. There were mostly silver but also some gold in there. “We’ll need a little for food,” he knew but he wasn’t certain that he wanted to go back right away anyway now. A message was just as good right? He thought.

Watching Arina and Lucas together broke Calista's heart. She didn't want to separate them, but Arina was Eldarion's sister and what happened would be his decision. She was surprised, but relieved when it became clear that he wasn't going to separate them and drag Arina back home. She handed Eldarion what money she had. "You're doing the right thing Eldarion," she whispered back.

“No...no I am decidedly ‘not’ doing the right thing Calista,” he said in a low voice as he took her coins and added them to his own, He handed back 6 silver then put the rest back in his pouch. “We will have that discussion another time I think yes?” He said obviously unhappy and it wasn’t really her he was upset with. As soon as he turned around though Arina was there and she looked up at him. Lucas was right behind her.


“Would you like to feel the baby kicking Eldarion?” She asked. Her eyes were still filled with tears but she had seen what Eldarion was doing and wanted him to feel what she felt. Hesitantly Eldarion nodded and then she took his hand and placed it on her tummy.

Calista sighed a little, but nodded. She knew that Eldarion cared about his sister and wanted what was best for them. She could only hope that things would eventually heal between Arina and the rest of her family.

She was surprised when Arina apppeared behind them. She stood by quietly as Eldarion gently placed his hand on her stomach. She watched him as he felt the baby kick again.

"Did you feel it?" Arina asked him softly.

A smile bloomed onto his face and he nodded. “Yea, Calista you should come feel it,” he said. He felt it kicking and briefly he enjoyed a quiet moment with his sister. He presented her with the coin purse and told her that he wasn’t going to separate them and the baby of its parents. They spent the evening with them but back at the Inn Eldarion had been very...quiet. While Calista was getting ready for bed Eldarion came over and put his arms around her. He kissed her neck softly and whispered into her ear. “I think maybe you should stop taking the herbs and we just see what happens.” He had thought about saying this before but seeing his sister with child had made the urge to have a child even more powerful.

Calista walked over and gently placed a hand on Arina's round belly. A moment later she felt a small kick. She smiled when she felt it and felt the urge to have a baby grow again in her heart. She had been trying to suppress that urge for sometime now since she didn't believe Eldarion was ready. However, as she glanced over at him she wondered if soon he might be.

A few hours later, they returned to the Inn where they were staying. She was preparing for bed when she suddenly felt Eldarion's arms around her. She closed her eyes as he kissed her neck. However, when he then suggested that she stop taking the staybirth herbs they quickly opened and she turned to look at him.

"Are you sure you're ready?"

“No,” he said softly as he kissed her jaw and then her lips now that she had turned to speak to him. “But when can anyone say that they really are...ready. Life is an adventure all of its own and I know that we are still working on what we have but I just see us having a large family. The question is...do you ‘want’ to have a baby? Are you ready for that?” he asked her though he was kissing her very sweetly in between his words. That and his hands were touching her more delicate places equally as softly as his kisses.

Calista felt her heart might burst from happiness. They were going to finally start a family. "Yes I'm ready...more than ready," she told him softly between his kissed.

ooc: Today has been bad. I think for now. lets focus on our LOTR RP. Where did we want to go from here? I remember you suggested soemthign but cant remember.

OOC-I was suggesting going back to Eagan and Narisa. I think Eagan was going to go back to Mina's Tirith since Narisa was hesitant about them getting back into a relationship. I guess we need to decide how to get them together.

I've been having a bad day too. Been really sick. I have basically lost my voice and have a sinus infection.

ooc: Oh man...hot toddy time! I make really good ones to. Canadian Whiskey, lemon, a good tea and honey. It tastes good, soothes the throat and will put you into your bed quick. Now if you only had someone rub your feet to relieve the sinus pressure, you'd probably be in heaven. Or close to it anyway.

ooc: Feel better K. And on Halloween to! Our party went well but im still exhausted from it and working yesturday until 4:30! *cries*

lol wish I could sleep. Every time I lay down I start to cough. Hopefully by tonight I will start to feel better. Don't think I'll be going into work again tomorrow though.

It's alright. I've been watching Ghostbusters (the new one) with my mom. She hadn't seen it yet.

ooc: Ouch...dont think I could rewatch that though I liked Kate in it. Its official, McCarthy really bothers me in movies.

I can't remember. I thought that she was still hesitating about it, but he was trying to persuade her. I don't think anything official had happened between them if I'm remembering correctly.

ooc: Ok, in 'A Dinner To remember' they had their last little bit and they were friends again. What did you have in mind for them? They are younger. Maybe teenager stuff?

Sure. I think he was thinking about returning to Mina's Tirith and his family.
