Biography:
Fiona was born in Dublin, Ireland to a family with a rich Irish heritage. Her father ran a pub that had been in business since the 1800’s. International companies had been trying to buy the pub for years, but her father had always refused as he wanted to keep it an independent business. When Fiona was 6 she met Kal Marshall and the two became fast friends. One of their favorite things to do was to go out to a local field at night and lay on their backs as they looked up at the stars. They would talk about joining Starfleet together and what their lives might be like. However, when Fiona was 12 years old her father died and her entire world was turned upside down. Her mother was forced to sell the pub to pay back debts that her father owed and she decided to move to the United States to live with her brother and his family. Fiona and Kal’s goodbye was a tearful one and as they parted ways Fiona wondered if she would ever see him again.

When Fiona was 18 she was accepted to Starfleet Academy with a focus on Starship navigation. Fiona had no idea that Kal was at the Academy at the same time she was. While at the Academy, Fiona met Grant Morrill and the two became engaged as they served on the USS Phoenix together for a year. However, just two weeks before the wedding Fiona realized she was making a mistake and she asked for a transfer to another ship. The Enterprise was in need of a Navigator and Fiona was assigned there, having no idea that Kal Marshall was also serving on the Enterprise.
