The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Seth groaned as his stomach expelled the last vestiges of whatever it was inside his stomach. Rowena had already bathed and reclothed him. She had taken him to his own place and sunlight proofed the windows. Seth pounded on the floor and his fist shook the entire room. Already he was strong, far stronger than anyone she may have seen just turned like this. Though that might also be few. “Why?...Why?” He asked to the room...to her as he did know she was there. He could sense her. And it was his senses reacting to every creak or noise from the world around him. He could hear the wind blow up against the windows. He could hear the hum of the appliances as the sounds, so soft to human ears wear defending. So loud he thought they might drive him mad. He drew hands to his ears.


“Make it stop!” He yelled as he shifted like an injured snake on the floor. He ground his teeth together as he vowed to end the one who had done this to him. “I...asked for death...WHY!?” he asked again to the room.He didn’t understand, he had never done anything to this...this Armand! Why had he done this! After a few more moments when his hearing synchronized to the world he began to chuckle and then laugh. “Oh...what a great big joke!” He said and laughed again. A horrible, maniacal laugh like he was indeed going crazy. And then he settled and just looked up at the ceiling as his mind began to grasp what it was that he had been turned into. His head turned and his eyes settled upon where she sat as if he had known where she was all along. He could smell her scent. As his body ceased to crave food other senses came alive. The sense of smell, hearing and touch were the most powerful. He raised a hand up and just looked at it. He flexed his fingers and made a fist then extended his hand out again. “No longer human,” he said calmly now accepting all that had happened.

For Rowena it was terrible watching Seth go through the transformation knowing there was nothing she could do to stop it or to help him. She had gone through it all herself 370 years ago. She loved Seth, she knew that now, and she hated Armand for what he had done to him. He had done this because of her she knew and it was a guilt she would now be forced to carry. Rowena had never turned anyone herself...she had never wanted this life for anyone else and so it was gut wrenching for her to watch Seth suffer as he was. However, she knew it was only temporary and slowly he began to settle. She could see his eyes, which were now intense like her own, flickering about the room as he discovered his newly heightened senses. It would take time for him to adjust to it all and there was much for him to learn very quickly.

Slowly, she stood from where she sat on a chair in his apartment and approached him. She sat near him and she looked into his eyes.

"I am so sorry Seth. I never wanted this for you. I was going to just let you go but then Armand he..."

The sensation of not breathing was an odd one. His body was completely still save for the blood that coursed through his veins. His heart didn’t pump it, the blood was alive inside of him. He could feel it as it moved through him. It was then that he figured out that ‘Armand’ had done this to him because of Rowena.


“What ya do to piss em off so much?” he asked as he sat up on his elbows. “And don’t even think that I’m forgetting the fact that you owe me now. As far as I’m concerned, I’m takin one...a BIG one for the team here,” he said as he laid back down with a heavy sigh. “I always hated gettin up early anyways...fuck,” he said as he thought about his situation.

Rowena sighed as she thought about Armand.

"Armand was not my maker, but he was my teacher and companion for a time. I loved him, but he did not love me in return and so I left him and went out on my own. I didn't see him for over two hundred years until several weeks ago when he came to visit me. He had been asleep for some time and was unfamiliar with everything that had changed. He wanted me to be his companion again. Things...things didn't end well between us on that visit. He must know how I feel about you and knew that I didn't want this life for you."

She was quiet a moment before looking at him and speaking again. "You can still die if you truly want to Seth..."

He listened to her explanations and believed her. How could he not? He doubted she had ever lied to him, why would she start now? However on the last he raised his head. “Oh yeah riight. Like I’m so big and brave to let the sun burn my eyeballs out then my body. I’m not thinkin I’ll go for that,” he said honestly. “Unless you’re gunna kill me?” He asked. When she gave him that look he shrugged then laid his head back down. “Well, it could be worse I guess,” he said and he rolled onto his side as he rested his head on his hand. “At least we love one another...At least I think ya love me...I know I love you,” he said plainly as if it were just common knowledge now. “Weird,” he said and saw her look of confusion. “I never thought I’d come to love anyone and somehow I just know it. Even dead I can’t get you out of my mind,” he added as if it was a burden on him. Having a girlfriend always was.

Rowena looked at Seth for a long moment before speaking gently.

"I love you too Seth. I didn't think that I would ever love again...but you have proved me wrong...and I am glad for it."

She moved closer to him and gently ran her fingers down his arm. She watched his face for his reaction. All of his senses were not heightened...including touch. Touch for vampires was extremely intimate and sensual.

"How does that feel?"

ooc: You have no idea how much I missed us bopping back and forth like this. Man! I gotta head home now. And I don't wanna! Lol

He smiled and his eyes softened toward her as he saw her shift to touch him. The hair on his body stood up when she touched him and he shivered. "Wow...is...is this why...a...you enjoyed sex so much? I mean...I never really thought I was...you know...very good in that department," he began but then started to feel defensive though he was the fool that brought it up. "I mean...women say things...to make a man...ya know...feel better about themselves...but..." He stopped.

Rowena grinned at his reaction. It had been just what she had been hoping for. However, as he began to speak she rolled her eyes a little and shook her head. Finally, she looked at him with a grin.

"Seth...shut up..." she said before pulling him close for a kiss.

He kissed her back and did as he was told. They kissed one another over and over and it was like learning how to all over again. She tasted so different. So much so he could almost see the tastes as swirls of color along with her scent. That and her thoughts were right on the cusp of his understanding. He touched the back of her ear because he sensed...somehow that she wanted him to. He also kissed her jawline right below her jawbone and felt her touch him elsewhere. There was no urgency right then, he was content on feeling these sensations for the first time. There was a pain in his middle that he tried to ignore in favor of what was happening now between them. "Oh...yes...that's...amazing," he whispered as he felt what she was doing to him.

Rowena closed her eyes as the kiss deepened. She let him touch her and kiss her wherever he wanted. Knowing he was still getting used to everything she kept her touches soft and gentle. She could feel him trembling with desire. She gently slipped her hands up under his shirt to lightly touch his chest. She grinned at his reaction, but then realized the time.

"It's close to dawn," she told him gently. "You don't have blackout blinds here. We need to go back to my place."

He was amazed at how fast they could move. He fell several times when he didn't manage the stopping part. Not everything came easily and even though his body could do things his mind could not process how to deal with it all. His sight he imagined was much like what he imagined an elves sight. He had played roleplaying games when he was younger and elves were always able to see well at night. The pain in his middle hurt alot but he bared it silently more concerned about the threat of being burned to death by something as mundane as sunlight.

When they arrived at her home he was amazed to see the damage on one of the walls. "What happened here?" He asked as she lowered the blinds. Her place was otherwise the same as he had remembered it but the smell was much more...earthy and old. "Did someone die here?" He asked and then chuckled. "Oh, I forgot...it's us!" he said.

Rowena was there to tell Seth what to do...or what he could do, but he needed to learn how to actually do them on his own. She was surprised, however, by how quickly he seemed to learn them. It was almost difficult for her to imagine that he had only been a vampire for several hours.

As they walked into her apartment she had almost forgotten about the damage to the wall. "Oh...that was Armand. I need to get it fixed," she replied as she walked over and lowered the shades throughout the apartment. She could sense the sun just about to rise. The apartment became quite dark. She walked around and turned on the other lights and lamps in the apartment. "Sunlight will kill you, but artificial sunlight is harmless to us."

Seth found that he picked things up quickly...almost as if he had done them before. Her mentioning Armand again sent chills down his spine. He couldn't help but feel a bit more than a little jealous at how she spoke of him. And angry toward him as well though even that too felt as if it came from someplace deep inside of him. Which was odd because he was certain he had never met him before.

"Uh...sunlight, got it," he said so she was certain he had heard her. "Rowena...are there...uh...are there ...other...things besides Vampires?" His words sounded silly in his head but he truly wanted to know.

Rowena walked back into her bedroom and began to undress. She pulled off her designer sweater, revealing an emerald green lacy bra underneath. She looked over at him slightly.

"Yes," she said without hesitation. "Werewolves, ghosts, demons, skin walkers, witches...just to name a few. I have only ever met three werewolves during my lifetime. There aren't that many of them out there."

Seth's eyes grew large but honestly, why did it surprise him so? He was what he was after all. "We're not...at war with anyone...like in the movies?" He asked. When she gave him 'that' look he just held up his hands as if he didn't want an argument. he guessed that sometimes his levity toward some things irritated her. But what else could he do? if he didn't laugh about it all he'd probably weep and he definitely didn't want to do that in front of her. They were more or less a couple now and he needed to be strong for her he felt. At seeing her undress he paused to look at her. As far as nudity went he was still much like a man in that regard. Interested in sexuality. Interested in how her naked body made him feel.

He moved so he could watch her undress. it was clear at what he was after. He wanted to get aroused but he wasn't certain if that could happen anymore.

ooc-correct...He cant get 'hard' anymore. However, oral pleasure as in her mostly as I think it might be quite nice for her and for his body like chest and neck and back and such.

Rowena felt Seth's eyes upon her as she undressed. She was now in just her emerald lace bra and matching panties. She looked over at him slightly, sensing his sudden growing frustration. She knew what he wanted, but she knew that could no longer happen. She slowly walked over to him.

"Things can still happen between us...just...differently," she told him before holding out her wrist. "Bite me and you'll see."

He looked at her oddly and then he nearly doubled over when something inside him made his teeth pull out. He felt a severe pain in his mouth and then it was only again in his middle like he hadn't eaten in days but much much worse. Even as he slid to his knees he shook his head at her. "Everything's just fun and games until someone gets hurt," he said in a joking manner. His human sensibilities were still there even though his body craved her blood. He could sense it, almost feel it course through her veins. "No," he said plainly though he very much wanted her...what, her blood? Her body? His body didn't' even feel like his own much right then but he felt his arm thrust out tontake her wrist.his hand gripped it hard and drew her down to him. He tilted his neck as someone who intended to crack out a bit of stiffness. "I...I don't want to," he said but his body would not allow him to let go either.
